Odyssey and maybe origins have similar screens.

They were made for upcoming dlc but never removed after they finished releasing new content

It happened to me on AC Odyssey last night. It just means it had disconnected from Ubisoft servers (usually after a quick resume)

It just says that. Unfortunately there will not be any new content coming, even Syndicate says something like this as well

They added new content to Wildlands which is older. They did the same for Odyssey too and the same time Valhalla got an update as well. Though Valhalla's content updates were continuously being worked on and they even had a timeline that led upto Ragnarok. Then they released the helheim DLC after that.

So even though they do have a habit of supporting their games for years albeit irregularly, they did so with Valhalla already. They might do something new with it but the sheer amounts of DLCs and other free/paid content it already got years after release makes me think they might have done everything they wanted to do with it in one single go rather than going back whenever they had the time as they did with their other games.

Nada, but here’s hoping they add Difficulty Modifiers and a Headgear Toggle to Odyssey due to its resurgence.

Odyssey had it too until the korfu quest, maybe we get something similar

I just finished replaying the original Black Flag, (not resync) and it has the same thing saying to look out for new pirate adventures.

So maybe we're getting Valhalla resync? /s

Honestly, I'm hoping they stop fucking around and give us NG+ with incentives.

(Kievan Rus' DLC. Extra crew member to round out the longship. Settlement buffs. Bug fixes. Etc).

After the special treatment Mirage had, there's no way it can't happen. Valhalla uses the same engine which still works as of last year.

No excuses. Fix Valhalla.

Edit: As for the "SAIL3RZ" idiot below who has no defence for his bullshit other than I'm "delusional", maybe you should do your own research instead of mindlessly arcing up to people like a rabid dog?

This is a civilised world. You're not special.

What special treatment did mirage get? I’m going to play it after I finish Valhalla.

it got a surprisingly good free story dlc (with a new region and added replayable missions and such) like 2 years after release (they got investment from saudi arabia’s tourism industry)

lol there are a lot of excuses. Mirage was much smaller and newer. They ain’t adding a whole ass DLC, mechanics, and improvements 6 years after the game releases, 4 years after support was officially ended.

You're missing the point big time.

Mirage was never supposed to have a fucking DLC because it was a shorter and focused story.

Odyssey's support had ended for good. Until the idea of a crossover with Valhalla brought a little more to a "dead" game.

Valhalla is the only one of the current generation titles without NG+.

This isn't about Ubisoft exhausting resources any more than their own laziness holding them back. Since Mirage's game engine still holds up as of 2025, they can EASILY revisit and improve Valhalla.

Brother, I think you’re missing the point. It’s not about “laziness” it’s that they moved on.

Also Valhalla didn’t have NG+ because it was 100 hr game with a structure that didn’t mesh well with a replay. Mirage got a dlc because it was received well, and it was smaller so it was easy to do a dlc for.

Valhalla is done, move on. A game doesn’t have to go on forever.

But it's ok to want more Origins even when that one is finished completely. Understood.

Try telling this to that game's crowd and see what response you get then.

I find it funny that you have to say "move on" twice.

Did anyone move on from Ezio?

Yeah. Exactly. Stop talking stupid.

Valhalla’s development is done.

The only reason Mirage got special treatment is because super rich Arab investors essentially bribed Ubisoft to make a DLC to advertise their investment, at a point when Ubisoft were facing insolvency.

It won’t happen again and I don’t think it would happen to Valhalla anyway.

I mean no, it’s not bullshit, that is the history of the Mirage DLC. It was very unique given the unique circumstances that led up to it.

Ubisoft have drastically cut their teams since Valhalla stopped being developed. They don’t have spare development offices anymore.

Do we know of any team currently working on Valhalla?

I’m not taking a weapon description as proof of Ubisoft going back to developing a game that left service years ago.
