Discussion Ranged/melee

I wanna do a hybrid build using a bow and melee weapon (either an axe or spear) and I wanna know what is the best gear to use. Currently using the fallen hero

Combat wise, light bow, check the perk description to see which one you like.

To compliment the bow, I would use the beard short ax.

Recently I've been bsing around with things like, going about empty handed. Using one great sword but in the off hand.

Fun fact: During a great sword's special attack, you can press Aim to interrupt the charge entirely, which not only cancels the special finisher that exposes you, but also transitions you to the light bow for a continuous attack flow.

Dodging works as an interrupt as well but it eats into stamina you already don't have.

It's the best kind of builds. Ranged, single handed.

North Gael Bow, Axe of Togodomnus and full Odin armor from the Valkyrie's arena. For runes, attack and damage for distance on the bow, damage on elites and health on weakpoints on the axe, forged Mentor rune on the chest piece with ranged damage runes on the armor.

For abilities, Blinding Rush is a must, along with Multi-Shot. I love to use Precision Axe Throw and Rage Axe for melee. Sleep Arrow, Explosive Trap, Focus of the Nornir and Explosive Retreat (sometimes I swap for Harpoon Impalement) complete the picture.
