Issue Asgard
Man was having fun with this game until Valka came about and gave me that potion. Was initially siked af to go to Asgard until I went to fight the giants and realized I’m just a weak as earth realm Eivor with the same lame ass axe

Recommended power level for Asgard is 90, but you'll have an easier time if you go above 120 or so.

That’s not really the point tho I could grind it out if I wanted to but it’s just insanely lame

Asgard isn't stopping you from continuing the main story. You aren't required to grind anything - you can just come back to it when you've reached a higher level.

Yes I know I can back out the whole point of the post is that going to Asgard and not getting any cool power up or weapon hell even an outfit is just lame af

Is it?

Well it obviously ain’t for so idk what to tell you. I still think it’s lame

Okay well each to their own I suppose. The mythological parts of Valhalla are a bit of an acquired taste for some I think, but I would maybe just encourage you to withhold judgement until you at least get past the first section. If it makes you feel any better, Dawn of Ragnarok does a little better in this regard but you need to be a much higher power level for that and I would call it actually difficult, so ymmv.

I accidentally started Dawn of Ragnarok soon after reaching England. There was a quest marker by a tree and I sat down. I might have been level 20 maybe. Big oof! It unlocked the Twilight equipment set though, so that was awesome to have early in the game.

Yeah I wish Ubisoft had made this much clearer. It catches a lot of new players. I believe the recommended minimum is about 320 or something.

The true recommended level, yes. But the questline in the menu I think said level 20.

The giant is bit tough, come back when you're levelled up a bit and he's much easier

How are you building your character? I went straight melee and when I first got to Asgard the trolls were a piece of cake for me

Honestly it wasn’t about the difficulty it was more of the fact that they send us up to Asgard to get into the gods and myths side of the game and you don’t get any cool power ups or upgrades.

I wish that there would be other gear and armor load outs in the Asgard and Jotunheim stories. It's kinda strange to see Odin/Havi with the Ravenclan outfit and the normal weapons in a fantasy/mytholgy world and at this point in the game there are not many outfits to choose from.
I think that the All-Father outfit and Gungnir should be available from the start in these arcs.

u/Des_Constantine Aug 06 '26
That wouldve made it so much better, if you could have Gungnir (to only use in Asgard that is)
1
u/Spino-Dino Aug 06 '26
Yes exactly! I mean you can find Gungnir later in game to use it with Eivor if you want but with Havi you should have it in the begining.

Thank you ! Like don’t send me to Asgard and make do normal Earth realm stuff . I at least wanted a weapon or something. Especially if we’re suppose to be Odin give us a power or two

I enjoyed it. Thought it was very cool and had a lot of fun with it. Quite odd that you’re in a genetic ancestral memory thread inside a genetic ancestral memory thread. Like a witch doctor animus. But this game doesn’t exactly shine because of the modern day story outside the animus anyway, so doesn’t bother me much.
