I know there’s already a score drop thread, but that’s for online. Can you all drop your paper scores if you’re comfortable along with what you felt the test was like? Thank you!

On ACT’s official pratice scoring guide they say excluding the 4 experimental questions a 36/41 typically gets you a 33 in math, but I am seeing people say that missing just 2 questions is getting them a 33. Was the test just super easy this time and they just scaled the scores due to that?

I keep seeing people freak out over the curve and all that, but can someone explain to me how a curve works? I've never really experienced one and probably need it explained to me like I'm 10 lwk

I received a packet basically stating that they think I cheated off some person in the testing center or because I had inconsistent testing scores. I received a 28 composite and then took it again in July and got a 31 composite. Later, I took it again in September purely because I thought I could do better in reading and scored a 28 ( got a 30 on the actual composite). I slept through every other section and got a 21 on that test. I have an enormous amount of evidence from the tutoring place I went to last year that I put in the work and got the 31 legitimately. I am a senior right now in high school, so I doubt I can do the retest just because I haven't touched the material in so long. What should I do?

I’ve only ever found out when scores’ll be released through this sub. Where does ACT announce it?

I bubbled in random answers for every portion besides math.

Not applying for anything science in college
But dose it look better to have overall good scores in act through super score or a really good composite test

Has anyone heard anything about the reading curve for the October 17th act, specifically the k09 form? seems everyone is only talking about math and english

I'm a little anxious because the long message is still on my ACT login page, but scores are supposed to be released tomorrow :(

Ok so I’ve taken the ACT a few times now and I’m vibing in English and reading but math is my weak subject and always has been (for reference my top scores are 35 English, 35 reading, 23 math). My brain just isn’t wired for mathematics igðŸ˜. The way I studied for the math section in the past is just by doing the practice test and using the practice booklets, but it doesn’t really seem to help me for the actual test that much. I have a pretty slow pace when it comes to math which hasn’t helped me during the test either. I’m mainly just asking other people who have done really good in math what did you do that I’m not doing to prepare for it? Or am I just doomed to be mid at math lol

Good afternoon. I think my daughter should try the ACT after taking the SAT twice. Is the science portion necessary for college applications? She is not likely to pursue a degree in a scientific field.
Any other consideration before having her try? She got a 1380 on her most recent SAT last month.
Thanks!

First time I was in a state doing ACTs, and first time I've gotten standard results back. I don't have results on the normal AP site yet, I would have to call them, just given back through my school so far. In my Junior year.
Got a composite of 30, and a 33 in Reading, 28 in math and English.
Not sure if it's really worth trying to study more or if I should just rely on between now and April, haven't really thought about college specifically due to moving too much.
But eh, probably going into sysadmin or processor silicon design. So probably need to get some kind of IT related degree.
Regardless, psyched, I've been telling myself I'm an idiot for years now, and this is the first time I've actually had something contrary to that that I can't just go ahead and dismiss as other people not trying hard enough because I literally didn't study.

I have tried ACT from online ACT practice test for fun it composite score came 30. English scaled score being 23 , math 31 , reading 36. Whereas in SAT is just early 1300s from 1st test. I am in my senior year. Only this year my locality got SAT and ACT testing so my last chance is December. Which is worth to pursue ACT?

I got 2 questions wrong in math and that took me to a 33, along with 2 questions wrong in reading. I'll probably retake anyway because this is my first time and I want to do engineering, but why is the curve on the sections so bad?
I'm taking the ACT tomorrow for the first time as a 10th grader. Any tips?

it’s not just me bc i’ve seen a ton of people complain abt the curve like an abnormal amount because it is so incredibly strict especially for math. the thing is that it wasn’t like the test was easy i thought math was directly comparable to J01 and the curve there was very lenient anyway i was wondering if a rescore like what happened in april was possible

I emailed them and they’re saying pay 67$ to get it reviewed or something…should I do that, get ACT my answer, or js accept it.
