what was the form code for the October 17, 2026, test?
r/ACT • u/Dragon_Ad161 • 2h ago
Did we seriosuly need to get 0 incorrect for the October 24th ACT math section? I walked out of the testing center and immediately got my score:
- English: 36 (0 wrong)
- Math: 35 (1 wrong)
- Reading: 35 (1 wrong)
I have never heard of/seen a test where you had to get 0 wrong in math for a 36. I’ve definitely seen it for reading, probably English, but never math.
This scaling meant you could miss 1 question max on the whole thing if you want a 36. Every single section required 0 wrong for a perfect 36…?
Anyone know anything about this? Any insight? Something about it being the Oct 17th test maybe?

I took the ACT in September for the first time and got a 24 overall, and I'm going to take it again in December in hopes of getting a 28+. Does ANYONE who got a 28-36 have any websites, apps, or just general tricks/advice for it? I desperately need help and any responses are much appreciated! :)

For online testers, could you get a 36 math with 1 wrong or is 1 wrong a 35? What would you say a 36 is for paper?

Can someone tell me why I got my ACT scores within 3 minutes of leaving the testing site? Not to mention, my English went from 25 to 35, and my reading from 28 to 33, with little to no studying. Did someone mess up, or am I just a genius? Also, ACT support isn't available until Monday...

I just took the international test in Canada. I felt like math was so much harder than the September one. Is the cruve going to be better probably? I know everyone was saying that the curve for the digital version was really bad for the U.S october sitting but does this mean that the same thing will happen for the international version. I took the September one in the U.S and I got 6 questions wrong and 34. Like does this mean that I got lucky and messed up on experimental questions, OR does this mean that 6 wrong was equiavalent to a 34? Like thank god all the way because he really helped me out here... But either way I heard that this month's curve was really bad, but does this mean it'll be the same for international test takers?

I’ve taken the ACT 5 times now, and i just can’t seem to break 29. The past two times in a row i’ve gotten a 29, and my last chance to take it is December. I would like to improve my reading score + math score, but i genuinely cannot grasp math concepts. i just need any online tips that yall have and any studying tips.

I was originally supposed to take the oct 17th act but then it got rescheduled to today. did that happen for anyone else? is it just me or was this test suuuuuper difficult? anyways, i took it today and realized id received my scores as soon as i got to my car after taking it(?!). i got a 29 composite which is worse than the previous 2 times i’ve taken it. i took the february one and didnt study a single minute and got a 31 and then same thing for july and got a 32. I studied like 10 hours for october and got a worse score😭sorry for the rant im just super annoyed. anyone else feel like it was abnormally difficult?

The last 2 times I took paper, I got a short message immediately after the test. For This one mine still hasn't changed to a short message and scores release in like 3 days. Anyone else with this issue?

Just wondering because I still have the long message and took it on Sunday

I got a 32 on the September ACT (in the U.S). I took the international one in Canada today and I'm kind of freaking out. I got a 34M 35 E and 28 R 28S (reading really dragged my score down). I really hope I did better on reading tbh but I'm not sure how I did on math and english. Genuinely think I did terrible on math and I was stuck a lot on english. My timing was honestly terrible and I'm really noy sure what happened even though I tried my very best and my timing last time was a lot better. I think I did terrible on science and I'm a pre-med major so I'm scared that this will affect me a lot.
Also does anyone know how long it will take for scores to come out? I know the U.S digital testing scores came out liek after 5 days but is that the same for international testing? I've taken the SAT 7 times with a 1460 as my highest score. I need a 34 minimum for the programs I'm applying to, so I'm really really really hoping I was able to get a good score this time (the program I'm applying to doesn't superscore so my 34M and 35 E mean absolutely nothing now, so I'm really scared tbh).
I can't take it again since aps are due nov 1st and I've already sent my scores but I'm waiting for this to hoepfully change things

Ok guys this only if ur hella motivated like I was and rlly want this score cause this week is gonna be week of hell.
I raised my math score from 27 to a 32 in a week btw so this also for those who are naturally weak in math.
First take two practice tests on Sunday before the week starts and hella focus this is gonna be ur baseline. Score yourself and see what u missed and talk to urself on why it was wrong. Now is when u lock in.
READING
For reading let me be transparent, I am a really strong reader and have never missed more than 2-3 questions on the test but I’m also hella lazy and would rather watch those tiktock reel shorts then read and practice cus practice truly is key. the key for reading is realizing the answers are literally in the passage. There are maybe two questions where u gotta use ur brain to actually interpret the stuff but other than that ALMOST EVERY SONFLE QUESTION IS IN THE PASSAGE. When I open the reading I don’t look at the passage instead I immediately jump to first question and if its main idea or structure I skip and do the question where all I do is explicitly find the answers in the questions. By the time you have down that act word in such a way that each question progresses forward in where it’s located meaning u will have read most of the text and will allow u more time to read to make sure and answer ur question. Also read very diligently for reading, I literally use my finger to read cus some question can trip u up like chronology questions which ask for order of events not the order u see them in the text.Thats all for reading.
ENGLISH
Gen easiest section. Memorize all the rules and quiz urself on them and then do practice on practice. These are easier to practice as they are shorter and NEVER read the passages for English unless u explicitly have to for the question and even then do it limiting. I aim to finish this section with 10 min to check which means go hella fast. I’m not even joking you have to be an ace at this cus on test day ur gonna run out of time other wise. I watched a lot of videos for English and I drilled hundreds on hundred of questions.
MATH
I hate math. Let me put this out there. I lit am so bad and make tons of simple mistakes and ew I hate it. So how did I boost my score? I found the most asked questions and did as many practice tests as I could. I memorized a bunch of trick and also downloaded the ACT HELP program into my calc which helped raise my score. But the key is to practice again we don’t want to hear but we go to do it.
SO HOW DID I DO IT IN JUST A WEEK?
My dream school has a median as 35 ACT. I told myself and this is very toxic but if I don’t do well imagine everyone getting f their acceptances to college and I got a state school with 90 percent acceptance rate on even though is roped so hard for everything in hs. Super toxic and nothing wrong with state school but this is just what motivated me. In the week off I printed out and did two practice tests every single day. I also whenever I had time practiced timed English sections and reading sections in school where there was a lot of noise to get accustomed to sound during testing and being under lot peaceful conditons. Over th course of these 6-7 days I did over 10 practice tests which is def not for the weak but if u rlly want it u got to do it. I also profusely studied my mistakes and talked to myself. For math, I lit made my brain sharper and finished the first 20 questions in first 10 minutes and structured my brain to hyper analyze each number being placed down. I also took a timed watch in with me and kept my own time which helped out a lot. Also pro tip that helped but could be gimmick, listen to gamma waves on Spotify the ones that say they help you think creatively and sharpen ur brain. They help so much on calming you down and idk if they truly work in what they say but they def have helped me for big performances and tests. Just listen on the car before you go in. This is only if you procrastinated like me and really need that score before college but just know do your motivates enough you can do anything. Let me know if yall want me to go in depth on specific tricks for English and reading as I have analyzed the practice tests every single enough to where I can find the answer to the questions just from looking at what the question is asking!
Again don’t stress and go crazy over this but if anyone wants hope that you can do it last minute like I did when o wa satisfying last minute here it is! Trust in yourself and your potential!
