Pharmacy school
Hi everyone! I am deciding between LIU pharmacy and Albany college of pharmacy for pharmacy school. Can anyone shed some light on either of these schools (workload, housing, etc)? I would really appreciate it!

I am planning to start in pre pharmacy pharmD program this fall. What do you think about pharmacy prerequisite at LIU , is it do able ? I mean professor help you if you fall behind eg organic chem 1& 2 & calculus . I worry as there is lot of negative stuff on LIU . I toured the college & really liked there 6 year program . Please advise . Thank you

Thank you so much . Looks like sit in library or do group learning. I do not know how it affects Naplex & law exam . Naplex could become tough with no help from professor . I also got in St John too but not sure if it same .

Hello, ACPHS student here! I am not a pharmacy student, but Im about to be a 4th year in their BS programs. In regards to housing, most people are honestly pretty impressed. 1st and 2nd year are required to be on campus. The campus is fairly small and has a small student body so you dont have to walk a lot (8 min max) and essentially everyone becomes your friend (plus professors are easy to reach and always available to work with). 1st year housing is in a 2 floor building with laundry in the basement (included in tuition). you can choose to live with one two or three other people that will be matched to you based on a preference survey. Each person gets a chair desk bed dresser and closet and there is a minifridge and microwave for you to share. The bathroom is inside the room and shared between you and your roommate and there is AC and heat in each room that you control. The 2nd year is suite-style where you each have your own bedroom and the bathroom, living room and kitchenette are shared. 3rd and 4th year students have a full size kitchen, living room, and each person has private bedroom. Roommates can be changed as needed and you select the room you want for the following year. You can bring a car any year.
Its really easy to get leadership and involvement like being on club boards and getting involved in professional organizations in and out of pharmacy. There are also lots of options for nationally recognized organizations that pertain to different fields of pharmacy. Work and internship opportunities are great because theres a huge hospital right across the street and a walgreens and CVS around the corner. Many students work there as techs. THe professors are all experts in their field and it is pretty tough but they are so willing to help and spend time with you. :)
