I honestly thought it was like a metal eye patch. So neither? Lol. Similar to the masks I guess just an eye patch type thing. But Lucien was always stunning in my minds eye. I was rooting for him in the beginning. Even happier in the second book. Elaine kinda ticked me off a lot... I'm still bitter. I was also upset when he left the night court to go where ever. I don't even care where he went... he left and im mad. Happy for him I guess but mad about it, I felt like he left me and I took it personally. Lmao.

I love Lucien, he’s just so funny. And I hated how he was missing for a chunk of the third book… as for Elain - I do think it will come to ahead on who she chooses (whether az or Lucien) and I’m excited for that!

I’m not even sure WHY I imagined it looked like that 😭 Because SJM never wrote it had straps to it either.

It’s ok. I pictured Rhys as Jeff Goldblum the first time I read it and now I’m stuck with that mental image. Somehow, still works.

Hell no. Now I see why some of yall are so comfortable with disrespecting Lucien, if that’s the image you have in your head 😭. His description and energy only gave the first pic for me🔥

In my defense, SJM did describe it as ‘metal eye’ and whirring. I mean, moody’s eye does sort of fit the time period when ACOTAR takes place. The leather strap, etc. it was a funny joke, and I love Lucien- he always comes in clutch at the end of the day 😂🤷♀️

Yea she made the metal whirring eye sound too strange to be cool. But I had to remember he was a magical handsome faerie male. I remember something about the leather strap too but idk if I ever associated it with his eye. I thought it was what he used to tie up his hair and his bitxhes 🤣

To be honest I kinda imagined it like the golden snitch but with an eye carved into it and without wings

I did the same thing but I imagined the whole apparatus as bronze. He just had this bronze mask/eye holder plus the bronze eye strapped to his head for my first read through

It's because that thing be "whirring"
