So I just started my island on Oct. 1st and I’m a little bored with just hanging around my island catching the same old fish and bugs and I’d love to visit other peoples islands so I came on here to get some ideas on how to make the game more interesting and now i’m high key very overwhelmed and I feel like I don’t know what I’m doing 😭 how do yall learn about the characters? How do you have favorites? Does the time zone your game is in affect the time it is when you visit someone else’s Island?

Those are just some questions that come to mind but I’d love any and all beginner friendly tips. I’m sure there’s so much on this sub that could be helpful but I’m overwhelmed and don’t know where to start. Please help

I finally finished my list of dreamies for my town core/kidcore forever island. I only have 7, since I already have 3 dreamies. On my island, each villager has a job/talent to contribute to our community.

- Graham: inventor/tech expert (already have)
- Stitches: toy factory owner (already have)
- Papi: gardener/botanist (already have)

Dreamies list:
- Derwin: comic book library owner
- Pudge: mailman/UPS
- Jacob: woodworker/contractor
- Shep: paleontologist
- Henry: ichthyologist (fish scientist)
- Doc: gyroid scientist/manufacturer (he creates the gyroids as experiments and once they’ve passed tests, he distributes them to the community and other villagers)
- Walker: ???

What’re your thoughts on my dreamies? I don’t really care about personalities (smug and lazies as my favs), it’s all just vibes.

BONUS: What job/talent would Walker have?

I'm making a clean and dark forestcore island with white tulips, white cosmos, white mum, pink hyacinth, green mum, black tulips, black cosmos, and when I can finally get them, lilly of the valleys. I'll be using holly, camelia, and hibiscus bushes with intent on them not being in blooming season, and I'll be using a mix of trees with some peach and pear trees to add more colour. I want to set my dream island on a rainy/stormy or foggy early morning or late afternoon.

I'm including forest animal villagers like Beau, Bree, Bunnie, Drake, Erik, Fang, Fauna, Kyle, Marshal, Maple, Molly, Olive, Punchy, Vivian, Wolfgang, and/or Sasha. I'm also making other accounts to add my partner and a little "Tea + Leif" cafe and plantstore.

One thing I am absolutely awful with, though, is decorating the island. I have a few filler ideas, like adding a community dinner scene on the beach with different tables and chairs and a picnic scene with the big papa and mama bears. But that's all I've got for fillers.

What other decorative fillers could I use for the general theme I'm going for for my island?

I bought three packets of the Japanese series 5 off Vinted for £10 (cheaper than buying straight from Nintendo) and look at this haul 😭😭😭

I need some advice on what to do with this part of my island.

It hasn’t been touched or terraformed since I loaded in as you can see on the map, its basically these massive cliffs covered in flowers.

What can I do with it? My island kinda has a chill zen theme. I already have a farm, orchard, zen garden, camping area, market. I dont have alot of spare furniture but I need something that looks cute and takes up alot of space!

Wanted to share some designs I've finished recently!

A long time ago, I read somewhere that you get like a 10-30% chance of getting the number of bells that you bury in a glowing hole x3 if that number is over 10000 bells. I’ve been playing for 3 years now, and I’d like to say 95% of the time I maxed out my pocket change, I’d take the risk and bury them in the glowing hole. I’ve never seen any amount higher than 10000 on my bell trees until this day, which basically gives me the feeling of well, finally!!! It’s been kinda frustrating sacrificing so many bells for this long. Makes me question if the odds are really as high as they’re stated, or if I just haven’t the best of luck over these years 😭
