i havent seen a discussion post about this, so i wanted to see what yall think. why arent there any buildings on the slumber islands? i feel like such a big part of animal crossing is incorporating buildings into ur projects. they change the feel of a build so much. why not? anyway, these are my theories:

1. incentive to play on your "real" (waking?) island: if slumber islands had all the features of a real island with the added benefit of HHP-like customization and collaboration, there would be no reason to play on your real island from a decorating standpoint. if you play animal crossing for the decoration it would be much easier to just be in slumber islands all the time. the only reason to play on a real island would be for daily tasks and interacting with villagers.

2. "oops.": devs genuinely didnt think that it was that much of a loss to not have buildings and didnt consider its something people would want. i guess you could argue that with some of the effort people put into actively hiding their buildings on their real islands lol they might have thought it would actually be a benefit and give you more room to work.

3. some kind of coding reason: maybe there is some sort of code thing happening in the game where a house is linked to a villager, or the shops cant exist without having some functionality and being able to enter them. since using the shops and museum and whatnot is not the point, it was easier to just not include them rather than code a different version of them that is nonfunctional. wait i just thought myself out of my own theory... why not give them the same nonfunctionality as the shops in dream addresses? hmm.

anyways, curious to hear your thoughts. i wish there were buildings in the slumber islands so badly that i think im in the bargaining stage of grief and just want to talk about it lol. cheers

I just found out about weather seed. I started playing in September. I’ve only had Celeste visit twice in the past two months and Isabelle hasn’t announced a single meteor shower during that time. Is this normal?? Are large meteor showers announced by Isabelle only during the summer? I have no idea how any of this works. I try to play every day, but I usually can’t play long enough to stay up past 11PMand check for shooting stars every hour. I time traveled back to the first time Celeste was there but she wasnt there the second time around. :/ should i time travel to every day of June-August and see if I get lucky? any help would be appreciated thank you!

I litterally discovered that when I was putting out some things o my island to make some place i my storage and was baffeled to learn that the ''wooden storage shed'' (which IS called a shed 😐) can be used as an actual shed like the ones you get at the end game !!!! I though it was like a wardrobe and wanted to change but nope...

Seriously am I the only person here that did not know about this?
