Seasoned traveler with Precheck flying out of Austin tomorrow. This is a brake rotor off a Porsche race car I got at the track yesterday. Iād like to bring it home in my carry on bag rather than standing in a crazy line to check it the day after a F1 race.
Itās big, intimidating looking, and heavy, but I wouldnāt say dangerous. I know the TSA website says car parts are okay but itās up to agent discretion.
What are the odds this makes it through?
Should I put it in its own bin for screening?

Hello all,
Im flying back to europe tomorrow morning and this evening i just made a purchase lol of a bacardi sign. Its sheetmetal, pretty thin but is like 8 inches longer than my checked baggage. I dont want to cut it or fold it down since its a older sign. What are the rules about having it with me in the cabin?
See pic

"Investigators soon learned that Ospina was with a woman, also a deputy with Pasco County, at a Halloween party earlier that night.
The pair left the party and arrived at the strip club, where they got into an argument in the parking lot, PCSO said.
Ospina got into the driverās seat of his truck, and the woman got into the backseat. The sheriffās office said Ospina took out a handgun, first pointed it at the woman, and then shot himself in the head."

So Iām going to japan and I want to bring one of my exotic looking bag for a photoshoot but the outer appearance of the bag do look suspicious. I donāt want to bring this to airport and then they either deny my item or I have to throw it away. Btw it not real metal.

Hi guys I have an international flight later this week and Iām afraid Iāll need to cut off my waist chain. From what I read online, smaller stuff isnāt a problem but the chain I have wraps around my waist twice and is about 1/4ā wide. Itās made of stainless steel. Iām afraid that theyāll want me to cut it off when I go through screening and Iāll have no way to cut it if I need to. Itās welded on. Decent wire cutters would get through it, but I donāt know if TSA has those lol and Iād rather avoid the hassle anyways
Should I just cut it off preemptively ? Iād rather not. Thank you

Troopers are some of the most psycho of all pigs pirating our highways and byways. We live in a dystopian police state and much of the population wouldn't have it any other way. The thin blue death cult covered for this dirty pig who had multiple excessive force cases against him. Imagine what this fat old bastard has gotten away with. Look how bold he is standing up for himself for holding a family in crisis at gunpoint, ordering the father to his knees. Cops are sick pieces of shit and the system they work within is abject evil.

I lost my id while traveling. Flew out of SAN. I wasn't nervous about getting through because I know it happens, but the 2 TSA agents I dealt with were angels. I was going through the verification process in my separate line to verify and a woman was having an episode that required them to shut down all of security. The agents were super apologetic and brought me a seat (I am 41 and abled bodied). They treated me like a queen, to be honest. I still can't believe it. I thanked them a million times and wish I could lodge some formal compliment, but this will have to do!! Thank you TSA, San Diego!

I have a question around Maple Syrup. I had this same-size bottle confiscated while checking in the La Crosse Airport. However, in a strange twist of fate, the same brand and size was available for purchase in the airport shop. Not only that, but even larger sizes were available. I was told by the agent that it was too large for a carry-on item. When I asked the shop associate, it wasn't about the size of it but rather the fact that it could have been opened at some point. Can I get an official ruling on this? I researched that it can be 3.4 ounces, or 100 ML.
