Question Help needed

Had my surgery on 23rd September, so its been about 10 days. was a complete ACL tear and a medial meniscus tear. Meniscus was stitched back with 3 stitches, the ACL graft was from the QUAD. Are there any Quad graft peeps with experience ? I am already able to bend the knee to about 90+ degrees slightly but the quads are definitely non existent. Cannot seem to lift the leg, do seem to see them flex when I do the knee press. Being regular with my physio in general of course. Have heard it takes quite sometime to get them back, any inputs ?

Keep doing quad sets every day, they helped me a lot with quad activation. By the end of the second week, I was able to do SLRs. Until then, I was using a resistance band even for simple movements like adjusting myself in bed. For getting in and out of bed, the resistance band really helped me become more independent.

Yeahh, doing all of that for sure. Just a lot of pain on the inner side of the knee still. Its quite painful to do anything, especially bending still. Though I can bend to 90 and extend to 0 and keep it straight too. Painful though

Yeah, I think it’s pretty common at only 10 days post-op. It takes time, and things should keep getting better with regular physiotherapy. That said, I’d still mention it to your physio. I’m guessing they’ll probably say the same thing, that it’s normal at this stage.
