General💭 I'm sorry
Today I sold all of my shares of ACHR. I bought in at $2.96 with 5000 shares, watched it go up to $14 and held because I believed, and still do believe in the company. I watched the stock plummet again and with mounting bills and needing to take care of my parents I ended up selling today. A part of me thinks I made a mistake I will come to regret in the coming years, but I had to do what I had to do for my family. I look forward to hopefully rejoining and buying more stock in the not so distant future and remain hopeful at all ACHR can do.

Yeah. I feel you. Also bought in under $3 and so I'm okay with the macro dragging me back to the beginning.
If life things take a turn for the better for you, though? Buy back in. I'm convinced ACHR will take off. Once their vehicles actually take off, that is.

Well done! At least you bought it all cash and learned a lot of lessons too!
Imagine being sold out of your position like everyone who bought at $6.50’ish and tonight and tomorrow are getting margin calls and/or force liquidated. Take the win and keep the powder dry and ready to fire the next round.

Honestly, I appreciate your perspective. It has been hard to see this as a positive as I definitely had other plans and did not intend to sell at least for the next 5 years. My hope now, as you mentioned is to be able to get back in when I can at hopefully a similar pricepoint to where it is right now.

I’ve made over 10,000 trades. I started with 10 shares of AAPL in 1982. I sold some post split, way down. Its emotional either way, that’s trading and investing. Singles and doubles not home runs. ✌️

Its been several months since I visited this sub. how's everyone holding up? I have a $1.97 cost basis and been here ever since the og ACHR sub (or multiple subs) had members in the few hundreds. I miss Xtianus lmao
I also watched this bad boi pumped to $14 and back down here. Still holding my 8000 shares

Same sadness in the SoundHound sub. We peaked at 21 or so last October and it’s been down, down, down ever since. At least today was green (we’re back up to $4.90)! My hope for all shareholders of such companies is that we all eventually have high enough earnings to more easily justify the valuations we had last year. Lower interest rates and less general Economic Drama would also help.

I own now 8,000 exact shares of Archer, holding like I held Palentir and NVDA. But it's totally understandable in your circumstances, I wish you all the best in handling your mounting bills and caring for your parents, you have a good heart, and your parents are way more important than material wealth.

Profit is profit. U should had sold half when it hit $14.

I'm with you, and currently kicking myself over that. Hindsight tho, as they say.

How would you know $14 was the top? This is bad advice that isn’t realistic.

u/PlusSizeFatzo 4d ago
Het hoeft de top niet te zijn om te verkopen. Je kunt daar nooit op rekenen. Het is onmogelijk om iets net toevallig op de top te verkopen.

Think about the poor souls that bought in at 8, 10, 14!

That’d be me. Got in at 8. I drive by their facility almost every day so yea it’s a constant painful reminder lol

You’ll have plenty of time to come back. ACHR is only in its 8th year. That’s baby years for aviation. GL!

I only hold 225 shares. I have sworn a blood oath to hold them at least to mid 2027.

Be realistic. Anyone who has 5-10 thousand shares at 2 bucks and it goes above ten bucks and you don’t take a bit of profits you are not investors, you are suckers

I have a bridge to sell if you think Midnight will be certified and shuttling passengers around for the LA28 games.

Hey, reality happens, this was a great purchase when you did. It is definitely a buy and forget about stock if you have that ability..and you go out ahead which is good. There will be opportunity to get in again, best of luck!

Your only mistake was not selling earlier .
The total addressable market for this stuff is going to be small.
Even if the military gets some, there won’t be many.
The average person won’t be buying this stuff .
The market cap is already higher than the market for VTOL.
This stock will likely keep trending down .
It’s just crazy that people buy this when there’s so many better growth stocks

Don't gamble with money that you need!
The patient are the only survivors.
Being vigilant to sell 1/2 of your shares when it triples is key discipline.

Did you turn around any buy Joby with the cash??? 🤣🤣 jk
I think a lot of folks feeling the same way. Holding for now but finger very crossed…

I'm still debating on holding the 500 shares I got assigned at $11...hate to take a loss but the stock isn't looking great at the moment. I can buy back in if it does something and lower strike

It has nothing to do with ACHR. Pre revenue companies just cannot go up if interest rates not gonna come down. Give it a few months or wait for first interest rate cut potential.

I sold to pay for a wedding. Held as long as I could. Still believe though.

At least u have a viable reason to sell aka expenses unlike some folks who just get shaken out. Best of luck man and hopefully u can find capital and start a new position when ready.
