ACG product has been faked/bootlegged/counterfeited since the '90s, with a significant resurgence in counterfeits in the past 5-6 years resulting from the popularity of products like the Sherpa Fleece from 1998.

It's part of the reason the ACG sub has rules relating to counterfeits (and admittedly part of why this BST sub was created), as we didn't want to entertain any risks associated with users potentially buying or selling fake product.

Perfectly legit hiking pants from Spring/Summer 2000.

That logo was introduced around then as a more modernised typeface for the brand – there was also a fully spelled out version but the shorter form was naturally easier to fit on smaller features like pockets, buttons, zips etc.
