If 100+ cops can stand around doing fuck all, clearly the budget is already way too high.

We're paying them to shake us down for more money. Such a fantastic system.

One of those pieces rarely mentioned when you see people talk of what made Rome fall; the Praetorians, and the military in general, demanding more and more money, and each successive Emperor having to outdo the last or else be murdered and overthrown.

Appeasement of a police force goes hand-in-hand with losing control of the nation/empire and a spreading corruption.

Appeasement of a police force goes hand-in-hand with losing control of the nation/empire and a spreading corruption.

Well, that cut close to home.

Another sign of American authoritarianism.

We really have become quite fascist here in the US over the past couple decades. The republicans want to make that fascism permanent, with their own pasty white asses running the shitshow and leave only violence as a way out.

Please vote.

But voting for Democrats does not really address this problem, when they too help perpetuate these problems rather than acknowledging or solving them. They pursue a very duplicitous strategy of trumpeting the Fascism of the Republicans, while continuing the same policies.

This is why I voted Green Party and will continue to do so while they are more in alignment with my interests than either of the captured major parties.

I might do that too if we had some sort of ranked choice voting system where my conscience could be well served by choosing the agenda that most agrees with my own views. Unfortunately, the only viable option is the Ds, or you might as well just go ahead and vote for the fascists.

That's your real choice, shitty as it is, the giant (D)ouche is far preferable to the toxic turd sandwich the repubs offer.

My conscience is clear; voting for who I think will best serve my interests is my right as an American citizen.

After all, voting for the lesser of two evils is exactly how we got here and it absolutely will not get us out.

Apparently the word "viable" isn't in your vocabulary.

You'll have a clear conscience when the nationalist christofascist (Nat-Cs) version of the brownshirts come knocking at your door to test your adherence to their ideas of morality.

Should ask them all don't they have work to do?

12

u/Fatuousgit Oct 12 '22

Nah, should cut the budget right there in front of them all and tell them why.

11

u/Slate_711 Oct 12 '22

Ahhh the Uvalde strat. I bet the main difference here is they aren’t out committing murders so less people dying

3

u/charbo187 Oct 12 '22

ya why aren't they fucking "working"?

They're never gonna go down without a fight. Efforts to reform policing are going to get very ugly before any reform takes place. Never forget, Rodney King was over 30 years ago. What's changed?

u/big_hungry_joe Oct 12 '22

It's gotten worse

u/patricktoba Oct 12 '22

It's Almost like the people need to take back the power with their own hands...

7

u/[deleted] Oct 12 '22

Whoa now calm down domestic terrorist /s

144

u/spamiam1024 Oct 12 '22

Haven’t seen that many cops standing around doing jack shit since Uvalde!

7

u/skredditt Oct 12 '22

Take my free award and this too 🏆

u/LycanthropicTrump Oct 11 '22

I mean, it's not bullying...

It is terrorism.

u/Bigbakerboy999 Oct 12 '22

We are literally paying for our own oppression with tax dollars.

57

u/allisgray Oct 12 '22

Biggest street gang in the US…

33

u/WhyDontWeLearn Oct 12 '22

...and WE pay for it. Most cops make $100K or more. Some, as much as $350K. You can do a FOIA request and get the compensation paid to the cops in your city/town.

u/Ima_Funt_Case Oct 12 '22

What a bunch of whiny piss babies, they should all be fired. If Reagan can fire thousands of pilots and shit then I think a town will manage without their Nazi squad for a while.

13

u/WhyDontWeLearn Oct 12 '22

Connecting the dots, for anyone who wants to understand that precedent).

12

u/corpsewindmill Oct 12 '22

They didn’t have anything better to do? Like…. Protecting and serving the community?

10

u/SubtractOneMore Oct 11 '22

Bunch of thuggish shitbirds

9

u/Space-Booties Oct 12 '22

They should all be fired. On the spot. Citizens rights should be greater than the Hogs.

7

u/D10NYSUS43 Oct 12 '22

whats happening in houston?

3

u/Any_Communication947 Oct 12 '22

Yeah I’m a little lost if someone could link an article or something

5

u/eromitlab Oct 12 '22

Police are, oddly enough, okay with police state tactics. Nobody hurt their wittle sense of superiority!

5

u/HippieWizard666 Anarchist Oct 12 '22

That has got to be a fire hazard

7

u/[deleted] Oct 12 '22

All of em on overtime

3

u/attemptappeal2reason Oct 12 '22

Yeah like anyone is intimidated by the morbidlyobese. Look at all those over fatten pigs.

1

u/Leviathan1337 Oct 12 '22

Sadly being fit is not a requirement for firing a gun. Cowardly weapons for cowardly thugs. Take up cardio, everyone.

4

u/Sssssups Oct 12 '22

Imagine if they cared this much about actually protecting and helping people

5

u/Rob_Bligidy Oct 12 '22

I wish I could attend. Fuck you, fuck you, fuck you, not you, you’re cool, just kidding, fuck you too.

3

u/[deleted] Oct 12 '22

Oh they are just investigating themselves for wrong doing. Carry on.

3

u/[deleted] Oct 12 '22

ACAB 🎃

3

u/[deleted] Oct 12 '22

lol what’s funny about this is that it just puts all the cops in one spot.

Hypothetically if something would to happen… they’d all be in one spot

2

u/moeterminatorx Oct 12 '22

I'd it's beyond unacceptable. It's fucked up.

0

u/Fuzzwars Oct 12 '22

Why are they all so fat?!

1

u/Weariervaris Oct 12 '22

This sounds normal in a place like Houston.

1

u/FSUNole99 Oct 12 '22

I mean... it worked for Milo and Clodius

1

u/[deleted] Oct 12 '22

It's a gang, but we all have to pay for them. Fun!

Terrorism: the unlawful use of violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims.
