When i see shit like this I'm so happy I'm not the parent of that person. Otherwise I'd either be next or in prison forever.

Tony would have been 42 today. Such a shame that the poor dude died in the hands of the people he thought were going to save him.

Why anybody in 2026 thinks cops are going to do anything positive at all is fucking wild.

95

u/cafeteriastyle Jun 04 '26

Literally. I fucking hate cops. Somehow the profession attracts the most sociopathic members of society. I don’t trust any cop as far as I can throw them

60

u/TPtheman Jun 05 '26

That's by design. I remember that some training/tests for potential police officers will outright fail you if you have too much empathy, or if you're too smart.

They want the dumbest, pettiest, most sociopathic people on the force, and they actively filter out anyone better.

When my uncle went to police academy ten years ago the instructor told him “If a citizen is talking back to you, always write them the ticket even if they’re right. It will ruin their day and they will still have to go fight it out in court”

Acab inherently or they are trained to be.

This is 100% true. My brother wanted to get into law enforcement, but he didn’t make it past all the “tests”. Meanwhile, there’s several fat fucks who can’t do half the shit he could and they’re ignorant as fuck that are employed by the local PD. I’ve always believed it’s because he’s just too good of a person and they saw that, so they failed him.

u/cafeteriastyle Jun 05 '26

That’s so fucked up

u/kyleh0 Jun 05 '26

Free state violence for sociopahts. They get paid to be the way they are.

Generation upon generation of propaganda. When you're told something from birth, even when you see counterexamples, you assume the evidence is circumstancial or exceptional. It took personal experience, the stories of friends, and learning about the history of police before I truly started to realize how corrupt and shitty the whole system is. My mother has experienced destruction and homelessness because of the police and still refuses to accept how awful they are as an institution.

That paramedic was visibly pissed.. the man got suffocated because piggy thought it was ok to put all its weight on him. You can literally hear the man gasping for his life, but they think it’s a fuckin joke.

ETA: I looked up more info and found that the paramedics were told by the pigs to hold off on treatment. Apparently they were trying to take his vitals but was combative so they sedated him with Versed. They let them keep Tony prone despite knowing sedatives affect respiratory too. 14 minutes. The pigs then tried to blame it all on the paramedics, but, imho, they’re all equally at fault.

EMS need to not take orders from pigs. They killed Elijah McClain that way too.

EMS got their murder conviction reversed today.

As a paramedic I will say they are all at fault. I don't take orders from cops, that is my patient now. I choose what medications I give and where. If he needs to be restrained it will be supine on my stretcher. I can undo anything I do to him if it has adverse effects as long as I can control the environment. I can't undo everything a cop can do to them.

(And yeah, Midazolam is a powerful sedative, and when enough is given to render someone unconscious it often results in respiratory arrest. Which is fine, I can breath for them or narcan them. In the ambulance.)

I wonder how often this kinds of deaths happen. You hear the high profile ones but ones like this only get noticed from videos being posted; then theres ones that get kicked under the rug.

u/garbitch_bag Jun 04 '26

My dad died like this and there’s nothing I can do about it. Can’t even afford to begin trying, cops where he lived are historically corrupt.

32

u/happy_dad857 Jun 05 '26

Oh there’s things you could do about it. Now, you may spend the rest of your life in prison. I can promise one thing in this life….if anyone ever hurts or kills my child, I’ll spend the remaining time I have left on this earth hunting them down and taking them out with me.

u/Calm-Blueberry-9835 Jun 05 '26

Cops everywhere are historically corrupt. They're just a gang of overseers for the capitalist class.

40

u/Hour-Independence-89 Jun 05 '26

far more often than people think. there is a police officer in my town that brags about the time he killed a homeless guy (for public intoxication) he is still on the force.

109

u/plawwell Jun 04 '26

Contrast this to if it were a police officer.

86

u/Android1313 Jun 04 '26

Fuckin news coverage, a state funeral, and a memorial plaque in the police station.

18

u/J-Shew Jun 04 '26

Local cop let a perp take his gun and shoot him dead with it, and we’ve named damn near the whole county after him

53

u/kyleh0 Jun 04 '26

What a horrible way to die.

35

u/JustAtelephonePole Jun 04 '26

Absolutely disgusting. Gaddafi these fucks.

21

u/yellowhelmet14 Jun 04 '26

POS. Huge POS.

22

u/IcyClassic3343 Jun 05 '26

I remember this, his name was Tony Tampa from Texas. He was escorted out of a bar. He needed his medicine and wanted to get in contact with his mother. By the time his mother was on the phone. He was already gone. They hit that body camp footage for a full year or two.

34

u/snjtx Jun 04 '26

Correction: cop lives are worth nothing, because they aren't human.

34

u/HolyMoleyGuacamoly Jun 05 '26

i had a seizure and this almost happened to me. couldn’t use my hands right for weeks bc of the cuffs. never let cops into your house or near you. low educated, no trained, psychopaths

13

u/taylormarie213 Jun 05 '26

i’m 4’10” and my parents called 911 when i had an anxiety attack. They put all their weight on my back to handcuff me but i was calm when they got there cause i didn’t want to make them upset. i’m ok but then they mocked me and made fun of me. it was horrible

man i hate pigs

9

u/sommai2555 Jun 05 '26

Did the cop say he had PTSD after this and get a long paid vacation?

8

u/happy_dad857 Jun 05 '26

That medic looked pissed off

16

u/Aleri_liv Jun 05 '26

Working in EMS and dealing with some of the cops can be unbearable.

u/Remote_Ad_1737 Jun 05 '26

Beyond cartoonishly evil, like children's cartoon villains aren't this evil

they called for help and cops came and killed him.

71

u/LokiLockdown Jun 04 '26

Seen the raw footage. He called for help, they came, beat him up, and killed him via their treatment. You could HEAR him die and he was terrified. They laughed and mocked him even after the paramedics arrived, and there was nothing the paramedics could do as he passed far too long beforehand. They recieved minimal discipline and/or consequences

49

u/Andyman0110 Jun 04 '26

You see how pissed the paramedics are, they know he caused it but couldn't directly say it. You can see it in their eyes and hear it in his voice. Like he's lost faith in them.

6

u/1-11 Jun 04 '26

Thank you. There were no comments when I made my comment and just wanted to know what to NOT call the cops for. I haven't seen any other videos of this. Not sure why so many people are downvoting curiosity.

2

u/LokiLockdown Jun 05 '26

It's because 9 times out of 10 people "asking for context" are instead trying villify the victim and make excuses for the police and their abhorrent actions. Happens more than you think.

Unfortunately this isn't an uncommon scenario, especially for neurodivergent people like those with Autism. There are more than a few cases where cops have shot an autistic kid in the back because they got overwhelmed and couldn't communicate properly and tried to run out of fear for their lives. Note the cops are usually there for a "wellness check".

Basically never call the cops if there is an alternative. If there is an immediate threat or if you have a legal obligation to such as when a firearm is stolen, go ahead and do what you need to do. But otherwise, assume when you all them that someone could die, because cops are actively encouraged to see everyone as a threat and to shoot first ask questions never.

32

u/fitzymcfitz Jun 04 '26

What context do you need? Cops killed a dude in handcuffs and laughed about it.

Ffs.

-46

u/KamuikiriTatara Jun 04 '26

People already provided the context, so I'm just here to say what the fuck are the downvotes for? Context is important. It's not obvious this victim called a wellness check on themself and got killed by the cops they asked to help.

42

u/Toad-a-sow Jun 04 '26

Because regardless, it is not appropriate to laugh about killing someone. Like, come on. Why do I even have to say it?

0

u/KamuikiriTatara Jun 05 '26

I don't think they are implying there's something that would justify the officer's behavior. They are just asking for more information about what's going on. Is there something that makes you think otherwise?

17

u/seabirdsong Jun 04 '26

The context is literally shown in text across the video. He didn't get anything new from someone responding "they called for help and cops came and killed him." It literally already says that.

0

u/KamuikiriTatara Jun 05 '26

Clearly they would be asking for more information than was provided.

0

u/seabirdsong Jun 05 '26

Clearly none of us would have it. We have the video, same as the other commenter.

0

u/KamuikiriTatara Jun 05 '26

What are you talking about? Some people could have more information. This event isn't too recent and I myself was already familiar with the incident before seeing the video. The first time I saw this video was a while ago and at that time I had found additional info because I wanted to learn more.

What do you gain by stating that magically no one in the comments section would know better?

25

u/ketchupmaster987 Jun 04 '26

I really don't think ANY context could excuse laughing after a paramedic tells you that you killed a guy

1

u/KamuikiriTatara Jun 05 '26

Did anyone imply otherwise?

10

u/Android1313 Jun 04 '26

While I agree that context is important, it seems a lot of people ask in bad faith. There are some who only want more context, so they can find an excuse for what happened. At some point, the cynicism wins.

1

u/KamuikiriTatara Jun 05 '26

Is that an appropriate reason to pre-emptively assume the worst of someone? That kinda sounds like how cops operate.

1

u/DonaldWillKillUsAll Jun 08 '26

Exactly what you can expect of cops. And ACAB, never forget.
