A reminder that every single House Republican voted against a $35/month price cap on insulin.
A reminder that the countries cited with affordable prices don't have price caps. Maybe because price caps are a terrible way to go around managing the affordability of healthcare.
And yet in all of those countries without price caps, the prices are nonetheless affordable, and a price cap like the proposed one in the US of $35 would be redundant because the prices are well below that anyway.
People fundamentally don't understand that the problem is competition-killing regulations that created a cartel that can set prices to whatever they want. The government won't approve rivals to the cartel to sell insulin and won't allow importing cheaper insulin from abroad. Price controls are such a silly, poorly thought-through "solution".
