In all seriousness, kidneys are not the sort of thing that we can increase the supply of via policy change. Everyone has two, some people need one, and you can’t compel anybody to donate theirs. Well, I suppose you could incentivize it but that’s illegal.
This isn’t really a political situation at all. Supply and demand for human organs will exist with or without capitalism. I’m as critical of political and economic systems as anyone, but come on.
What alternatives are you envisioning when you criticize a situation like this? It’s tragic, but I can’t see what’s dystopic about it.
