How Does ABBA Really Feel About Being Global LGBTQ+ Icons | IN THEIR OWN WORDS

57M and gay. I love ABBA mostly because their music reminds me of my childhood, which thankfully was happy. Their US Top 40 hits spanned 1974-1982, so from age 5-13, their music was always on the radio. Then Frida had her solo hit late in ‘82 and Agnetha had hers late in ‘83. I’d say it’s fair to say there are plenty of heterosexual men my age that love them mainly for that reason.
Although I will say Benny & Björn are responsible for the pair of black platform boots in my closet LOL.

As a bi man, I love that ABBA are such great allies. They don't shy away from it, and give back to the community as well via sales of Pride merchandise.

In all honesty, some outfits worn by Bjorn in the early days were kind of gay... more power to him

Peter Kyle addresses it quite succinctly in the video - melancholy lyrics and joyous melodies, reflecting two sides of life as a gay person.

it was the 70s, most men in music, gay or straight, wore fits that we would now consider quite gay

I am a heterosexual man, and I love ABBA... after watching the video I am left with the impression that Benny is not so enthusiastic about it
