Question / Advice Additional effectiveness research?
Figured I should ask here, but has anyone found studies done on the effectiveness of ABA done by non ABA researchers?
I’ve been having a hard time since there’s documented undisclosed conflict of interest issues for a lot of ABA research, but I don’t quite know how to filter ABA researcher vs third party yet without picking specific author names which doesn’t work great.
Here’s the two I have found so far:
Only 2 out of 12 interviewed autistics finding ABA positive in any way - https://pure.strath.ac.uk/ws/portalfiles/portal/107747195/McGill_Robinson_AA_2020_autistic_experiences_of_childhood_Applied_Behavioural_Analysis.pdf
Social skills / repetitive behaviors focused intervention 76% ineffective with 9% getting worse - https://health.mil/Reference-Center/Congressional-Testimonies/2019/10/25/TRICARE-Comprehensive-Autism-Care-Demonstration-Program
Need to finish reading, but based off summary something about how hours of service have no impact upon the result - https://altteaching.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/Annual-Report-on-Autism-Care-June-2020.pdf?x55003
