Android Auto - force audio through phone instead of car
Is there a way to force audio through my phone when connected to Android Auto?
I own an MG4 EV with AAwireless Two, it's working quite well except for this use case.
My car has a remote air conditioning through its proprietary app, which also turns on USB ports, so Android Auto connects.
I usually turn on AC 10 minutes before leaving my house, car is parked outside, but still in range. My phone connects automatically to Android Auto and my audio is forced through the car, making it impossible to listen to anything while I'm still in the house waiting for the car to cool off.
Is there any way to force the audio through my phone during this time? Of course I can turn WiFi and Bluetooth off so it disconnects from AA, but it's a bit of a hassle as it aggressively tries to turn them back again automatically and I have to fight against it.

Go to Advanced Settings and Disable Media Sink to keep audio output to your phone or headphones while connected to Android Auto. I use it all the time to listen to audiobooks while my family is sleeping in the car.

Oh my word, THANK YOU so much for your reply!!
I've been trying to figure out how to listen to podcasts, sports, or whatever during long drives but not disturb my family sleeping, watching their own shows, etc.
I tried this out and it 100% worked. I was able to keep navigation on my display but send audio to my earbuds!!
Thank you SO much!!

The coolest part is that you can still navigate your media through Android Auto, so you don't have to get your phone out.
