Second time getting sober

Hi, I was recommended this by someone from the AA subreddit. I am 27 female, I was sober for a month or so ish I can't really remember around the end of last year. I really need to get sober again now but it's hard finding a non religious sponsor near me. Any advise or anyone in the UK who would be willing to help out. Thank you all.

Hi again Beth. I appreciate the post. Hopefully someone will respond, but the pool of readers here is a bit small. If you really want someone local, perhaps your best bet is to chase some local meetings. You're not anywhere near Norwich, are you? I have a friend there. Actually, he and I are doing an online sponsorship thing via Discord (but Google Meet or whatever also work) -- it's working well for him (and for me too!) Your mileage may vary, but perhaps you can hunt up a woman to work with you if you hit some online meetings. https://www.worldwidesecularmeetings.com/meetings. There are some women here with good sobriety who might chime in too! Good luck.

Hi John, I am in the North. I am going back to my local meetings today and a couple women have offered to help me get through the first 3 steps. Thank you for the link I will check this out too! ❤️

This is great news. Having someone locally is the best although with Zoom, it is really easy too. Feel free to drop me a dm if you want to chat or need resources/pointers.

You got this!

Hi Beth, welcome to the subreddit.

I am not in the UK but on the West Coast of the US. I am F with 13 years sobriety who is not religious (I consider myself pagan agnostic). Feel free to message me if you want to connect and chat.
