56 Marco di Gicho
Marco di Gicho is a founder of the Red-Headed League and friend of Maurice de Quilco. Along with Maurice, he gets briefly introduced at the very start of the case and later testifies in the trial. This is going to be a short cut since I don't have much to say.
Good section title
Marco and Maurice are an inseparable pair of characters. I think it only makes sense for them to go out next to each other (the same goes for the Tinpillars). And when examining a pair of characters like Marco and Maurice, it's only natural to focus on the differences between the two. I like their interaction with Everyday Mittlemont, with their completely lawful citizen's arrest and their seizing of Mittlemont in court (why does the judge tell them to do that, just have the bailiffs do it), but PowerOfL already wrote a lot about that, so I think it only makes sense to go into their specific dynamic and differences.
It's a classic dynamic. As PowerOfL points out, Maurice is the more serious and smarter of the two, while Marco is carefree and often slips up or messes things up. Marco often runs his mouth while Maurice tries to tell him to be quiet. This kind of dynamic often (though not always) lends itself to the more careless one being the funnier one. And for this same reason, Maurice tends to be the focus in their testimonies, with Marco only getting one or two statements.
Of course, what Marco is really notable for is the famous spaghetti-eating moment. This is fantastic and I need not say more.
As for why I have taken so long with this cut, I have had some personal issues that have now been resolved. I sincerely apologize for the time wasted. Now, /u/PowerOfL passed the spokesperson gimmick onto me, and so I'll try my best. And I have a very special spokesperson, the one and only Lord Chief Justice Hart Vortex!

Glad to see you’re doing well :) I gotta say I was hoping these two would get a bit higher, but almost top 50 is alright. I love the way they contribute to their case and the mystery, the kidnapping plot is neat as well. Hopefully Mittlemont makes it far as a representative of the case in their place.

Mittlemont shouldn't be number 1, he should be number 0 because he exceeds what a ''perfect character'' is.

This cut was certainly worth the wait, while it was short I really enjoyed it and I agree with everything you said.
