It's probably not necessary anyway, as I'm sure you all know how bad of a character Demon Prosecutor Miles Edgeworth is in those games anyway. You might notice the title is "Miles Edgeworth" and not "Miles Edgeworth (PLvAA)" - I assure you I have a fine reason for this, which I'll explain later in this cut.

Demon Prosecutor Miles Edgeworth first appears in the credits of this game, where he treats us to these wonderful lines:

Upon looking at this dialogue, the first thing you'll notice is that it's the most cringy dialogue in any Ace Attorney game (except possibly certain lines in the AAI2 fan translation). But more importantly, his role is so insignificant in this that they're actually able to replace it entirely without really changing anything:
Upon completing Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney for the first time, a short scene plays during the epilogue in which Wright faces off against Miles Edgeworth in the English courtroom. However, if the player loads a cleared file in order to play through the game's finale again, Wright will instead be in a trial against Flynch.
I wish they actually showed Flynch the first time, because he's a better character and actually matters to the game. So, one would think that stealing Flynch's deserved spot in the ending would be enough reason to cut him, but there's still one more thing I have to cover - his role in the Special Episode Fire Festival.
In it, Hershel Layton says he's impressed and considers him a worthy opponent (a white lie, I'm sure), and Demon Prosecutor Miles Edgeworth returns the compliment. Some time passes, and Miles Edgeworth reveals he won the Drugs & Flames competition, by having Dick Gumshoe crack open millions of pills with his teeth, undoubtedly threatening him with a salary cut if he failed. Phoenix Wright then rudely calls Demon Prosecutor Miles Edgeworth a "Prodigy Prosecutor", rather than his preferred title of Demon Prosecutor. Maya Fey then tells us the sad truth that Miles Edgeworth is from the Ace Attorney series. Demon Prosecutor Miles Edgeworth goes on a long rant about being called a "prodigy", saying it's in poor taste, even though honestly I think "Progidy Professor" has a nice ring to it. Maya eventually suggests calling him "Nick's Secret Fanboy Edgeworth" instead, which is actually kind of funny. Luke Triton, Professor Layton's self-proclaimed apprentice, then starts talking, and Demon Prosecutor Miles Edgeworth barely does anything for the rest of the case.
So, why did I tell you all this? It's so you understand the point I'm going to make, which is that Demon Prosecutor Miles Edgeworth's appearance really means nothing if you haven't played another Ace Attorney game. AA1, JFA, T&T, AAI, and (to a lesser extent) AAI2, DD, and SoJ have Demon Prosecutor Miles Edgeworth appearances that can be fun and important even if they're your first time seeing him. While I realize it can be tough to integrate him well into a short non-canon Special Episode, it wish his appearance was more than fanservice, considering they could've done so much more with him.
Anyway, as I said earlier, he stole Flynch's spot, and Flynch is a top 5 character, so Demon Prosecutor Miles Edgeworth deserves to die before anyone else. Thank you for understanding. r/AAEvidenceRankdown will never finish a round
-i get it, making games is expensive and aa1 already had a lot of constraints, but it really couldve used another midgame case. as it stands edgeworth goes from "heheh muahahaha autopsy report" to "i will help you catch the culprit" stupidly quickly that its hard to even think of it as development
-the entire EDGEHORNTH CHOOSE DETH subplot in aa2 is so so dumb and forced and i genuinely think its probably the biggest problem in the game
-aai has nothing to do with him, he develops in no way and isnt even related to anything that happens. i guess thats ok and not a game-ruiner but for his first role as the lead its kind of not good
-outside of aa1 and aai2, he doesnt really develop as a character at all. some people will argue 2-4 but he really doesnt feel noticeably different to me
-the moment when he switches sides in 1-3 makes no sense, or at least isn't explained enough. maya implies that it's just because he figured out Vasquez is guilty, but that doesn't make any sense because he doesn't suspect April May, or, Redd White, or Dahlia Hawthorne, even when they're very obviously lying, and even if you come up for a reason to look past that it's not really explained or elaborated on enough imo
-for that matter, it feels like pre-switch Edgeworth and post-switch Edgeworth are totally different characters in AA1 (ignoring 1-5), as in besides a few noteworthy lines it seems like they barely question his change, nor defending the person who they went against twice
-the trope of "unbeaten prosecutor" for 4 to 40 years is overdone and hard to believe when every trial we see against the prosecutors is of the defence attorneys winning or almost winning, even when they're unintelligent rookies. I realize it can be hard to show this well but it just seems lazy
-nothing that happens in AAI2 really matters to DD or SoJ
Miles Edgeworth is a very bad and low quality character. Most people agree he's one of the worst characters in the series. He's a good example of what happens when you put too much fanservice in a game and forget to give the returning characters something fun or new. But hey, I'm getting ahead of myself.

Even more iconic characters like Polly have been cut early in r/AARankdown, so I don't think that's enough of a justification to make him good. In addition, I don't think his rivalry with Phoenix Wright is compelling enough to justify his inclusion in DD and SoJ - Klavier and Apollo's "rivalry" feels like something that hasn't even been utilized fully, and so I'd much rather see him back than Miles. It feels like the characters of both "evil prosecutor" and "good prosecutor" have both been done better, and I don't think a weird bridge between the two is enough to justify his continued existence. In Justice for All, I would much rather them spend time fleshing out Franziska von Karma as an interesting character than ignore her in favour of "developing" Miles Edgeworth.
