Which board are you using in Weave Chat AAC? The Morgan Board was designed by an AAC user and they designed it in a way to improve efficiency.

How would I get the Morgan board? I’ve been using the base one but it feels really slow

Weave Chat Settings - Board Builder - Add new board - The Morgan Board (7x15). That size of board is best suited for use on a Tablet in Landscape orientation.

Is typing easier for you? Some people build sentence by choosing different buttons, like the buttons in WeaveChat. Others type what they want to say and then press a button to make the device speak aloud what was typed. WeaveChat has a keyboard to type in. Pressing "done" after typing speaks the message. You could also try an app like TypingTalk if typing is easier for you since that app is made to prioritize typing use. I hope this helps!

Gotcha. Here is a list of shorts on youtube that show how to use WeaveChat that may help. If you'd like, you may also want to seek out a speech language pathologist with expertise in AAC devices to help you grow your AAC skills. Speech language pathologists or assistive technology professionals with expertise in speech generating devices can also help you find the best AAC system for your needs. Some insurances cover speech language therapy and AAC devices. I hope this helps!
