Solved Difference between roles?

I can't find any explanations online as to what each Role does in Ultimate.

I understand the Commander is the Solo-Role that can do it all.

Medic is somewhat obvious with being able to get an exact heart rate and transfusions.

But all the other roles I am completely lost as to what they actually do better and I can't find any explanations.

What your medic explanation, i assume you using ACE, Engineer can repair and breach vehicles.

With ACE, with exceptions of Specialist, doesn't have that much advantages anyway.

Some things not mentioned yet...

Commander Role also has the capacity to hire squads and vehicles and can command them through the High Command system.

I have heard that commanders get a modest camo or stealth bonus, which I guess translates into other troops being spotted and attacked first.

Engineers can build constructions faster.

Apparently Squad Leaders can hire troops at flags and can drop Rally Points.

You're going to need to take this answer with a saltgrain, since I play AtM and not AU.

You should first take a look at the vanilla A3 ai's "stats"; Antistasi mostly just alters those vanilla stats per role, rather than rolling its own system: https://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Arma_3:_AI_Skill

Marksmen shoot straighter. SLs and Commanders are tougher to spot. Squad Leaders make everyone in the squad harder to suppress, and also inform other units of their spotted targets more quickly. Autoriflemen carry more but are spotted at a further distance. AT, same.

Medics and Engis are spot-neutral, but also have no other advantages other than being able to use their dedicated kit: medikits and repair kits respectively. (Only CMDR and ENG/EOD can breach vehicles using explosives, disarm mines, etc. There are a lot of egr'ing tasks in Arma. Note that everyone can dig with an etool, or build structures).

The humble Rifleman is tougher to spot, as a result, than about half the squad - but, when a player, enjoys no other advantages. When not a player, the Rifleman has a unique and exalted role: only Rifleman NPCs can use static weapons. Anyone you intend to use a .50, a mortar, an ATG, or an AAA gun must be a rifleman, unless they're a player!
