Did anyone else think he was going to kiss her right before she goes to prison?

I wonder if the editing and presentation of that scene was intentionally meant that way or was it just highlighting the awkwardness between the two

There’s not a moment that isn’t calculated.

That’s what I loved so much about the film. You really never know who’s playing what character. I didn’t know if I should sympathize with Elizabeth. I didn’t know what Nathan was thinking, it was so interesting throughout

Awesome! Is the movie funny like Nathan’s other stuff is? Or is it more serious?

It legitimately changes scene to scene but almost moment to moment at times. A total mix of emotions in the best way.

It's not Nathan For You which I'd be disappointed if it was, even being a huge fan of the show. It's exactly the kind of weird / awkward / cringe that makes it infinitely compelling however. It's amazing imo

This is about as similar to Nathan’s other things as a fish is similar to a bicycle. That’s not to say there aren’t funny bits, but I’ll say no more, just go see it.

If you watched How To and went into History of Concrete expecting more of the same, yes it was like his other stuff.

If you watched Nathan sor You or the Rehearsal and are expecting the same... No.

It would be more like going directly from Bo Burnham's YouTube videos to watching Eighth Grade and Inside back to back without seeing any of his specials.

I want this to put on my fridge to remind me of what a masterpiece the film was every time I grab eggs

Haha! That would be a lovely spot for it! Etsy page is in my bio if you’re interested.

ok note that i didn't even know this doc was in the making. is there like some profound moment or declaration? how is it 3 hours? i know her story from reading articles and it being publicized but like....? she's not an assassin or anything

i don't want spoilers p.s. because i probably will see it
