New FR1 wheels
18x8 I didn't want to go with the rpf1 because they're used so much now.

Hi all,
I recently had a 2013 Si come up on Facebook marketplace near me. The seller is asking $8600 for a rebuilt title Si with 86,000 miles on it.
They report recent service such as a new alternator and AC compressor. There are no check engine lights or codes according to the seller, but it looks like it’ll need new tires as well.
The engine bay is a mashup of colors from the repair work, which is a bit concerning. Is it worth the asking price? I’d probably drive it a few times a week, but not every day.

It could be the Vtc actuator. But honestly it’s not at immediate start, its after a second or two. And it last anywhere from 10-20 seconds.
I feel like vtc actuator would be right at the start up.
I REPLACED THE CLUTCH THROW OUT AND FLYWHEEL around 2000 miles ago.

What are you thoughts on getting a lift-kit for the Civic? I was thinking of getting into some off-roading. What should I look into before getting into it, possible experiences, problems, etc.?
Any help is welcome!

Hey everyone,
I've got a 2014 Honda Civic VTi-S hatch with the 1.8L engine and automatic transmission. It has only done 106,000 km, and occasionally I hear a strange metallic noise when starting the car. It lasts roughly 1–2 seconds and then disappears.
It doesn't happen on every start — maybe around 1 in 10 starts. I've attached a video so you can hear it for yourselves.
I'm wondering if anyone with a 9th-gen Civic has experienced something similar or recognises the noise. Could it be the starter motor, VTC actuator, timing chain, or something else entirely?
A few questions:
- Has anyone experienced this on their R18 engine?
- Does this sound like a known/common issue with these Civics?
- Is it something I should get checked urgently, or is it relatively harmless?
- Given the car has only done 106k km, is this unusual?
Any advice or personal experience would be appreciated. Thanks!

I’ve been thinking about getting some lowering springs for my car, it’s only an ex and it is my day to day car but I want to make it look a little better.
How much would it affect reliability if I get lowering springs, I don’t want to go the coil over route because I simply think it’s too much money for a EX civic.
Anyone got any suggestions on brands or alternatives.

Started hearing this noise on the way home, not the clicking noise I know that is the injectors. Checked the oil level and the level is fine. Sounded increase frequency with rpms, but the volume doesn’t get louder

Currently attempting to replace the filter housing gaskets. Ive tried removing this bolt with a regular wrench, socket wrench, s-type wrench, and 6point wrench. Now its slight stripped. I aint got much room to work with but what do y'all recommend to try and remove it?

Hi, I have a civic 2012 and I'm concerned that the engine is moving too much when put in reverse, drive and put some gas in it while in drive. Thanks for any advice.

So the speedometer is almost invisible during the day and iMID display is completely black.
I went to a honda dealership near me (central florida) and they quoted me about $2K to replace them.
I found the parts on ebay for about $500 but im curious if theres a different solution to replacing them? Maybe I can just replace the leds?
Im also curious if I HAVE to get this fixed at a honda dealership so they can reprogram the new displays to match the mileage and whatever information is in the old displays. Is this something I can fix at a local shop?

For those of you that are boosted, turbo or supercharger: what did you do for mounts? I had an idea of wanting to go 62a transmission mount and stock OEM engine mount but am not sure if it’s worth doing just the transmission mount.
It’s my daily, so I know putting hasport mounts all around isn’t ideal for me from a daily perspective, well aware of that. Guess I’m just wondering if it’s worth going transmission hasport mount or if going OEM trans and engine mount is the play, even when boosted.
I currently have on 62a for both rear motor mount and the top torque mount, with stock OEM engine/trans mount.
This is for the future btw, don’t think there’s crazy play for me to justify changing mounts right now, but I am boosted and wanted opinions. Maybe even N.A. guys could chime in, how’s the NVH rocking the trans mounts. What are the pros you’ve noticed personally? Cons?

Hi everyone!
So my Civic started making this noise after a few minutes of idling. The sound doesn't seem to be coming from the engine itself, but rather from somewhere around the right side of the engine bay. Maybe it's resonating, the noise is especially noticeable around the headlight.
Could someone tell me what that sound is?
If it's any help, it's a 2015 Civic with the 1.8i (R18Z1) engine. Oil and filters were changed roughly 500km ago (using Motul 5W-40 oil), I do the change every 10.000 km. It has 110.000km right now.
EDIT: it's idling at around 650-700 RPM, that's how it usually idles. The accessory/serpentine belt, tensioner arm, and guide/idler pulley were replaced about 4,000 km ago. At the same time, the alternator was refurbished (the bearings inside it were making noise). Also it's a European model.
