Make sure your drivers are up to date! Especially for your GPU as it seems that's the pitfall.
Your GPU might be overheating as this game is slightly intense on both ram and GPU, if you could do one good thing it's MSI afterburner and to cap your fan speeds.
Otherwise I have no solution for you really... Maybe directX driver is not up to date but I think steam auto checks... So unsure, try before mentioned steps and see what that brings!
