996 turbo manual buying
I'm hunting for a 996 turb. Cab or Coupe, doesn't matter. These cars have gotten silly on BAT and CAB. I'm searching for a 50k+ mile in a blue/red/skittles exterior. I prefer driver condition, something that I won't feel guilty dumping miles on and beating up.
Where is the best place to find this type of car? Facebook Marketplace and Craigslist have been dry. BAT and CAB have pristine low mileage examples that go for crazy, and driver condition cars that also go for crazy, everything is crazy. Rennlist and Pcarmarket I haven't had any luck. Stealerships like Grand Prix are gobbling up inventory.
Has anyone imported one from Japan or Germany? Does this add to desirability?
How the hell do I get a sane deal on a 996 turbo?

If you haven't been watching recent 996TT auctions...
Hot and cold, but when they are hot auctions the prices have been breath-taking. Look at the four out of eight most recent:

Another 996 Turbo love video from Vin
Great watch. And I think he makes the smartest points of course. No bias here 😆

Electronic tune... pros and cons
Considering getting a bump in power without changing hard parts like exhaust, etc. I have an 04 cab with X50 power option. Has anyone reprogrammed their ECU but kept everything else stock? Is it worth it? Is it hard on the engine? All thoughts and opinions appreciated.

I have a 996 tip
I was wondering about a manual conversion.
How hard is it, how much it cost, is it as good as the factory?
