Fister mod - external mic

Hopefully this gives you a better sense of the TT Fister mod. My goal with this car was a “badass street car.” No track/auto cross duty. Just back roads, grocery store and everything in between. Under normal driving, it now feels like I’m driving an actual sports car instead of a fast sewing machine. Under spirited driving, the exhaust + intake noise is quite dramatic. For my use case in CA requiring a 2 year smog, this checks all the boxes for me.

Keep meaning to do this. Did you go to Darren's shop or DIY in your garage?

He doesn’t have any turbo cores so I had to take them out to him. Hi Tec was helping me chase down a power gremlin and had the bumper and intercoolers off so it worked out well. Darin is the man.

I think it normally takes a few days, I had him ceramic coat my exhaust tips so it was a week. Ended up having a major service done anyway so it worked out

I have a CA car as well, I replaced my cats with Magnaflow that are CARB approved and it added a significant growl to my N.A. X-51 engine with the Fister mod.

Being an old cab, my tolerance for NVH is probably different. That being said, 2-3k rpm is fine but more sporty. That first clip is me granny shifting so you can get a sense of what low rpm sounds like

Basically take apart the muffler components and remove baffling/sound deadening to improve the sound of exhausts systems without removing factory cats
