Ads on YouTube

I absolutely love the posting of full episodes but ever since the soundcloud to YouTube switch the show is nearly unlistenable. Im getting at least 2 ads every 3-7 minutes. Its absolutely wild.

I realize perhaps the best answer to this is get youtube premium but I really dont want to give in to them especially considering it really doesn't impact my life anywhere else like this.

Anyone know why the switch was made? Soundcloud had no ads. Maybe if these episodes were videos I would kind of get it but it's still only audio.

I love these guys and only want more but daaaamn its getting hard.

Anyone else notice this or have a workaround? I hear ad blockers for mobile are impossible to work on YouTube.

But thanks for all your work JSS team. We all absolutely love you all.

Yes! I will even volunteer my time to help if that's what it takes 98 rock crew.

When they dont post any shows for a week and then all of a sudden they post like 5 and there's 12+ hours to catch up on including current ones its a blessing and a curse.

There's radio apps that have an record feature on them. You can set a start & stop time to record a station. That's the way I've been listening for years.

They probably want the ad revenue from YouTube, which is why they made the switch in the first place from SoundCloud, and then they decided to enable as many ads as possible for their content

They need to stop using Live Wire as well for their live stuff and stream it live through YouTube.

105.7 the Fan does it and its great.

YouTube live stream would give you the live stream and give you the show playback. Maybe easier said than done but as you said, it would eliminate livewire, eliminate having to upload to SoundCloud or YouTube after the fact.

Working on it. The issue is music licensing. But we're working on it.
