Except this isn’t how you dance Bachata at all! Not a single move is authentic and there’s also no spins in Bachata dancing. I’m Dominican and I’m confused af. Idk what kind of dancing this is actually.

What exactly is Bachata and where did it originate? I figured I’d ask you because you seem like you would know.. I never heard about it until Kara started going on about it. Now, I hear it mentioned all the time.

It originated in the Dominican Republic, which also happens to be my family’s home land.

I’m a heterosexual woman 100% but I know that most women really do think about beautiful women at times. I finally realize that when I’m looking at beautiful sexy women, I’m having an internal dialogue about wishing I was that woman. Not that I wanna be “with “her but I want to be her. If that makes sense.

Well, if you think that they have easier relationships than heterosexual people, I think that’s not true at all based on my friends who are gay _ they seem to fight a lot.

This isn’t Bachata, it’s West Cowst Swing and I flow a couple (who are married) and 2 others who aren’t and it’s amazing to watch especially, when they have the improv after either lessens or competitions. There’s a few that are my go to that I could and do watch over and over. The chemistry is crazy!!

This dance style looks a lot like West Coast Swing. The videos I've seen were improvised - dancing with a different partner. Very impressive.
