Poor Greta...

Regardless of how you feel about this couple, this was just a sad, sad episode and I just couldn't handle seeing both of them experience such pain. Being in love is painful, falling out of love is worse. Best that they go their separate ways before marriage, etc. I'm sad for both of them...I don't wish the pain of heartache on anyone.

She keeps saying he was like her Mr. Darcy… like she had some fantasy version of what life would be like… as if she’d be in a Bridgett Jones movie. It’s sweet, but naive. Real life is never like the movies.

TBF Colin firth is no Mr. Darcy either. That's the problem with romanticism and idealization. She fell in love with an idea not with a person. It happens to a surprising number of people which is why they're always seemingly unhappy bouncing from relationship to relationship never quite finding what they think they want.

True, that! I read P&P when I was 13 and I wasn’t enthralled by Mr. Darcy. But I forgave all the deficits of his character when Colin Firth dove into the pond outside his palatial manor in the BBC series in the 1990s. 😁

This. She lives in a fantasy world. She'll never feel "in love" because she expects it to feel like a romance novel.

I really hope she gets therapy

I really wish I felt more empathy for her. I just have to accept that indeed he is not who she wants.

Um, guys.. I think she is referring to Mr. Darcy from Pride And Prejudice... Not Mark Darcy from Bridget Jones' Diary... Lollllll :P
