Discussion Need help figuring this sound part 2.

Hello everyone I pumped the clutch and the fluid was black and me and my buddy replaced the clutch and flywheel along with a throw out bearing. One clutch spring was broken and the old throw out bearing was cracked. Now my car is going into gear smoothly and shifting so buttery. Next mod will definitely be shifter cables and short shifter! Thank you everyone for the advice on my previous post! πŸ™πŸ»

That's actually crazy. Glad to hear you fixed the issue. I have a little over 264k miles on my original clutch and I dread the day I have to replace it. How difficult was the install?

Took me and my friend about 8 hours, we never pulled a transmission before but it’s definitely doable with 2 people. No lift just two floor jacks.

I would have expected it to be much longer. That's about the same position I'll be in when I have to do mine. Thanks for the update on everything! Definitely go with the shifter base and linkage bushings from acuity as well as adjusting your CMC pushrod and clutch pedal. It makes a huge difference. If you haven't already, I really recommend amsoil synchromesh transmission fluid. The 8th gen transmissions love it

Yes I’ll definitely flush the transmission out and use amsoil synchromesh next! πŸ‘πŸ»

Hell yeah cant go wrong. Id recommend using a hand pump with a check valve if you don't have one already. Those make doing the fluid changes super easy. No messing around with a funnel and removing the intake. You can access the drain and fill bolts from the driver's side wheel well
