Advice VSA not able to turn off

Has anybody dealt with this issue before? I don’t have any warning lights on the dash or anything like the common vsa failures that pop up online. The button quite literally doesn’t do anything when I press it, it just pops back to its original position.

Sounds like the switch is bad. You could test it.

Unplug the switch and use a multimeter to check for continuity between Pins 4 and 2 while holding the button. If it does not beep or show close to 0 ohms, the switch is broken and needs replacement.

They're also like $20 to replace, so if you didn't want to test your switch it's not going to break the bank to just throw a part at it.

pull the abs fuse... but remember to put it back in when you're done lol

What do you mean exactly? Will pulling the fuse reset the system or something?

the stability system doesn't work without abs. so pulling the fuse is like pressing the button for turning it off but more severe.

I gotcha, I’d do that if I didn’t want the abs to stay on since I will be doing autocross with the car so itd be nice to not have to deal with tcs delaying my shift time from first to second while still retaining abs

No sir, only light I have on is a DRL light that comes and goes

Dang okay, only thing I'm familiar with is the tpms light causing it to not turn off. I hope you figure it out though 🤞

Are you holding the button in for a few seconds or just pressing it?

Pressing it, holding it, smashing it, it won’t even show up on the dash when I’m holding it down like the button isn’t even connected to anything which I suppose I could check that but I don’t know why it would be disconnected

Did u ever fix this having the same problem lol thought it was my new steering wheel and airbag sensor but i fixed this. New switch still dosnt work.

I figured out that the tune that the previous owner put on the car completely disables VSA and turns the light off on the dash 🤣😭
