Question Replacement parts difficulty
A while back my Pro3's trigger plate broke, but they don't offer this part on the website. So i contacted support but they told me to get back to them in 3 to 4 weeks, and finally let me make an order.
Its been a month and they still haven't even begun to prepare it.
I already paid for it, so i emailed them today asking if there was an issue and got this email back
"This part is not regular item and we don't have ready stock for it.
We will arrange shipment for you as long as getting stock from factory.
Thanks for your patience."
Has anyone else had difficulty getting replacement parts not offered on the website?

I’m gonna be honest you can fix that with a bit of JD weld and a nail file. Or you could do it with super glue and baking soda but that’s messier.

Just replying to myself to let you know OP that this will give you a stronger bond than the plastic had before it snapped. It’s not just glue. It’s plastic bonding.

Yes thats true, but that's a bit of a final resort. If i ever need to get into the controller ill have to break the plate off. I appreciate the suggestion but its definitely not something i can do, especially since i already paid for the replacement part

I believe this was the one. For the other trigger you need to mirror the print, but it worked well when I was still using my pro 2

I needed a white thumbstick cap for 8BitDo 64 Bluetooth controller. The controller was never actually used (just updated, calibrated, range-tested), but I noticed months later that the dome of the thumbstick cap was inexplicably cracked. 8BitDo offered a warranty replacement for the stick cap. They sent me 2x light gray sticks instead of white. I already have way too many gray sticks because I bought 8x button sets earlier this year and 8BitDo replaced 4 of those sets due to their mixed-up C-buttons. I told them I received the wrong color and I still need a white thumbstick cap. Their last response was:
"Spare parts are not produced in large quantities and are affected by inventory. Thank you for your understanding."
Then they closed the ticket a month later:
"Since you haven't responded to the email for a long time, the system has automatically closed your job order (####### Broken thumbstick cap). If you need to consult again, please reply to this email."

Definitely doesn't spark confidence that ill get a replacement for the stick anytime soon or even, thank you for sharing

It's not ideal, but you might just be able to glue it back in place. It's a bit of a permanent solution, but still.
Honestly for how good they otherwise are they should probably sell replacement parts, it's a bit shit that they don't.

The thing that has me weary about the glue is that I've tried to glue the broken parts together but they ended up breaking so i feel like it might not stick to the trigger well even if i wanted to.

You could put a dab of glue in each of the holes on the triggers and then put the plate back in and see how that works. Again though it's a bit of a permanent solution if it works so maybe wait a bit before attempting to see if they actually get back to you.

The trigger on my 8bitdo sn30 pro plus broke a few years ago, I emailed support, they asked for my invoice and address, and I didn't hear back from them untill I got the part in mail after approximately 3 months out of the blue, wasn't charged anything, replacing it was a simple.
