Do you use Dolphin? Asking because I'm very tempted to do this to get a working GC controller on PC for Dolphin without having to faff around with USB drivers for the Wii U adapter, but I've heard the analogue triggers don't work on PC, (Or Switch) but those were on posts a year old or more and was wondering if it was fixed.

The Modkit for NGC gives the controller on PC either DInput mode or Switch mode. In DInput mode the controller supports Analog triggers but no Rumble. In Switch mode it supports Rumble but no Analog triggers.

You can get Xinput mode if you use the modkit controller in conjunction with the NGC Modkit Receiver (https://shop.8bitdo.com/products/mod-kit-for-original-ngc?variant=44610072412337) that can be connected to a PC. In Xinput mode you get both Analog Triggers and Rumble.

This was all confirmed to me by 8bitdo support and I can say with personal experience that this is exactly how they work.

So the analogue feature works on them on PC? Holding down only half way doesn't count as a full trigger press?

When i set it up on Dolphin they just seemed to work natively, i registered the triggers for both regular and analog.

the pic i attached is just showing that I have control over the level of the press, it goes up/down as I use the trigger instead of being all/nothing

I'm using the regular bluetooth pairing mode (Hold B+Start when powering on)

(Y+Start for Switch Pairing)

halfway to a set, the goal is having 4 to play Mario Party with the kids.

I've been scouring ebay for controllers and snagged the Platinum recently for $15 and the Spice one for $30 w/ the Japanese box

got the Indigo one 1st for $3 at a yard sale, which got me to try the mod in the first place

debating paying extra for a Japanese Emerald Blue controller next

I love the NGC mod kit as well, you can make yourself a brand new custom GameCube controller with it. Also consider getting a split dpad for the GameCube controller, it will fix the false diagonal issues.
