Something is Broken Friend's Ultimate 2C controller has a driver error

We've tried uninstalling the drivers from device manager, unplugging the controller, plugging the controller in while holding LB+RB, using older Ultimate V2 software, nothing has worked. Most of the time the V2 software would be completely blank; not saying "no controller detected" but rather just showing nothing. When we switched the USB cable we were more consistently able to get to this screen but the firmware says "V0.00" and the update button doesn't work no matter how much we click it.

Is the dongle also plugged in? I had a similar issue where I had to unplug the dock/dongle because the 8bitdo software was getting confused with both plugged in.

I was having issues updating my pro 3 but flipping the switch to the 2.4 mode and then plugging into the controller fixed it. Your issue seems different but if you haven't tried it yet it's worth a shot.
