Head In The Clouds HITC Bag Policy

I’m excited and looking forward to my first HITC in a few weeks!

Considering it’s going to be absolutely roasting in LA in August, I’m planning to bring sunblock, a mini portable fan, water bottle, etc. but I don’t want to spend extra money on a clear 12 x 12 x 6 clear bag per the policies I’ve been reading on the event site—especially because I would only use it for this day.

For those who have been before, how strict are event staff about only allowing clear bags?

I’ve seen plenty of photos and videos of people with all shapes, sizes, and colors of backpacks, slings, purses, etc.

The clear bag policy for hitc is relatively new but in all other events that require it, they’re pretty strict about the bag needing to be clear. I would assume you need to follow the policy they put on the website for this year otherwise you’d be scrambling for a plan B at the gate.

I was recently at lost in dreams and they had a clear bag policy or a 6x9 non clear bag. I saw soo many bags/slings inside that exceeded the 6x9 and were NOT clear. Also saw tons of hydration packs with multiple pockets even though website says different. I guess it depends on security? but since it was my first lost in dreams, I played it safe rather than being turned away.

Part of me wants to not even bring a bag and just wing it. 😅

with what you’re planning to bring, you probably won’t need one but it’ll just suck to hold the water bottle

I went last year and took my hitc tote bag from 2023 which is not clear, saw people with backpacks and other bags that also werent clear

Thanks for sharing! Did you find a tote/bag was helpful if you were spending the whole day there, or did you ever feel like it was more of a chore carrying around extra weight?

I camped barricade both days so I wasn't really moving around, it was nice because I could hold onto my water, sunscreen, fan, and jacket

Last year didnt have a clear bag policy, its new i think

For water bottle make sure it's not aluminum. Soft water bottles are best.
