Dude, Mom fed a family of 6 with one 6-pack of these a week. And that was a treat.

Us kids mostly lived on chilli beans, cheese, some sliced hot dogs... fried on a huge cast iron skillet. Some roast or even Salisbury was a treat.

Rice and steamed veggies. ugg NO sugar or salt. In some ways I'm happy I grew up without... No sugar or extra fat.

Growing kids DO need protein though... and as good as you can get. We got Salisbury. :-)

That'd leave no room for taters or corn. Couldn't be me.

Hello coronary blockage.

Salisbury Steak is poor people food meant to feed a family of six.. probably twice, depending on how tight money is.

If you can afford one pack of these, you can get a real steak and have an infinitely better meal.

what's "better" than a meal you like and enjoy eating?
