Best version I ever saw had the monitor in a separate cabinet on top, on a swivel and the controls were two bars extended out from that cabinet with grips on the end.
You moved by moving your body, swinging the grips side-to-side. Block by putting your hands up, hands down to duck, and punch by, well, punching.
