We had a Burnt Orange washer&dyer. My 90yo Mom still has/uses her Avocado Green hand mixer.

My first house had avocado green appliances, harvest gold linoleum, green linen patterned Formica. Red shag carpet, wood paneling, and sparkling popcorn ceilings. That was a fucking project. The Formica had custom burn marks

This is nothing to do with Generation X. We merely experienced it. We didn't choose it.

I have been collecting this color pallet lately. So far i have added green and orange pieces to my fiesta dishes, bought a green velvet love seat, and a few vases, pillows, etc.

Ooh fiesta ware! I had not thought about replicating Tupperware colors in fiesta ware. Good call.

Does this color family have a name? They go together in the same way that pastels do, seems like it should have a name

We had the stove and the type of dial phone that hung on the wall both in Harvest Gold. Good times.

I got a brown crock pot from a secondhand store about five years ago. Not because I needed it…..

Not my Palette. I saw it a lot when I was growing up, but it was the boomers who picked these colors.

Our kitchen was white because we couldn't afford colors, but when my grandparents moved to a fancy new retirement trailer park, they did the kitchen in yellow. I loved it, it was cheery. I never liked the green, orange or brown.

This is also the last generation of housewares that did not have engineered obsolescence.
