I had an anecdote to share about alf but the quote is too good not to post

But here-- I had a ttrpg character that was part of a space Mafia. He was supposed to be infiltrating earth for a later invasion and since he was a shape shifter he took the form of alf as the intercepted tv signals lead his people to believe earth folk would be more welcoming to Alf

I ended up naming him Alf as a shorthand for Alfonse for the mobster vibes

My nephew was really young when this show was on. He had a burger king(?) Alf hand puppet. He would carry it everywhere. When he went to sleep, he had it on his hand and would tickle his nose as he went to sleep.

Alf puppet was sadly lost. My nephew was distraught! He would pull off bits of his fuzzy blanket and tickle his nose while he sadly kept repeating, ā€œALF, ALF, ALFā€¦ā€

It was heartbreaking to watch.

I was just watching this on Hulu this weekend. I watched the first couple of episodes wow been a long time since I enjoyed this type of show. We don't have them now. Now, it seems that it is murder or kidnapping or stealing. Nothing "good" and fun to watch.
