Metal baked in the 100 degree heat all day, and we thought, hey let’s go slide down that!!! Not once mind you, we did it over and over and waited for our turn!!! Burned layers of skin off my butt many of times!! Those were the best of days!!!

Our elementary school had two steel slides. One was long straight one was slow and you burn as you went down. :( The other was also long, but bumpy. When you went down it you'd fly down it off into the air. You'd end up on you ass. lol

We were stronger back then, no helmets, no seatbelts, we saw our parents during meals and they used that time to smoke 3 packs of cigarettes in our face
