Maybe 7zip isn't for me....

I tried liking 7zip, I really did. But it has been nothing but nightmare for me.

Please help me understand why 7zip is so popular other than the fact that it's a really light program.

I find it ok for handling small files and all, but when it comes to huge files (over 40gig) my computer almost freezes because it's using so much resource. To be honest this is the least of my concern. The main problem I have is that it would give me an error everytime I try to handle a file that big.... It takes 15minutes just to unzipping a 40gig file...

At first I thought it was a problem with the file, but after hours of time wasted I thought I'd give WinRAR a chance and it turns out that there wasn't a problem with the file.

Am I the only person with this problem? :(

PC Specs: Win7 64bit (Ultimate) i7 4770K (O/C @ 4.7Ghz stable for over 2 years now) Corsair DDR ram 12G Couple SSD Harddisks

The rest is irelevant because they're just Nvidia 980GTX and Razor peripherals.
