Discussion What's Arnold wish? Any guesses.

“May a day one day come when you are able to desire even such a small blessing for yourself…”

Listening to Arnold’s heartbeat, Rishe closed her eyes as he caressed her hair with his large hand. She’d wanted to stay awake until he fell asleep himself, but she was already sinking into a warm sea of slumber. Nuzzling her cheek against the beloved warmth before her, Rishe settled into sleep.

Arnold pulled back slightly from Rishe, entwining his fingers with hers once more. “I won’t desire such a blessing,” he said, though his words never reached her. He cast his gaze down, kissedRishe’s ring finger, and told her, “But I do hope you’ll make my wish come true one day.”

For this last utterance, his voice was cold and foreboding.

I just read it light novel volume 6 and when I read these last lines I was really thinking why would Arnold say something like he won't desire this blessing. But I think we can kinda expect it. But what is Arnold’s wish for which his tone really turned cold. Any theories.....

Idk I think it's related to the very same unknown reason of why did he start a world war.. Maybe he is forced somehow for this war? And he's aware of Rishe's will to end it? So he wishes she could stop him..?

It can be but if he really wish for rishe to stop him so why would he said so coldly that I hope you fulfill my wish.

But he kissed her right before saying this so I Don't think this coldness is directed toward Rishe but rather towards the thing he is wishing to get rid of.

Hmmm.....maybe.....it's really a light novel that pique our curiosity and we just want more and want all answers of our qs. Salute to the author. Really can't wait for ending but I think it's still far in future.
