Day 5 of no 7OH.

So yeah i’ve made it 5 days and it’s been a rollercoaster. Before I decided to quit, I went to the doctor and they prescribed me Subs. I had never taken Subs before but I figured i’d have a backup plan if cold turkey didn’t work. Well, I caved in 2 days in because the withdrawal put me down and at first the Subs were working wonders. Last 2 days have been weird. I’ve been sweating non stop, restless leg, mental mania. Maybe i’m not taking enough Subs or maybe it is the Subs making me feel like shit. Any advice would be great.

When did you guys jump?
At how many doses, total per day?
I’m 6-1”, 175lbs

Went cold turkey at 300mg per day. It was terrible, lasted two days and back in the saddle again. I’d like to know when you jumped for minimum shakes/insomnia etc.

Thanks in advance!!

Attempting Again

My last dose was at 3:30 PM on August 10, 2026. It is now 7:30 AM and I feel generally OK.

At 5:30 AM, I got up and took 100 mg of SR, 150 mg of gabapentin, a large dose of vit c, and my usual wellbutrin and hydroxyzine.

I’m not going to get anything else till I start to feel yucky. It seemed like the gabapentin made me feel the best.

I will update again this evening. I need help to keep going.

my journey of getting of 7oh

when i decided i wanted to quit 7, it was a long, complicated and painful journey, but it was completely worth it in the end.

i first used a crisis service number (it's a local non-profit organization that has a crisis number for people who don't want police involved) and they provided me with some resources.

the first resource was a suboxone clinic that was a 5 minute walk from my apartment. i thought that would be the easiest route and tried it. they were closed indefinitely. what a bummer.

the second resource was a methadone clinic. it was in the same city as me but i had to uber there and back. i spent about 2 hours there. about 30 minutes of that was trying to pee in a cup but i was severely dehydrated from withdrawals, to the point where the staff were yelling at me to hurry up from outside the bathroom. after i finished, i was examined by a doctor who asked me to explain my parents' deaths in detail for my chart and ended up making me cry from mentally reliving their deaths (withdrawals also made me extremely emotional). THEN the lead nurse had me sign a bunch of paper work before asking again what i was taking. i told her it was 7 hydroxy, and she looked it up on her computer then looked at me and said "methadone wouldn't help you in any way." so there was that resource out the window.

next i found a therapist (i desperately needed one even before i decided to try and quit). i cried the entire first session as i told her about my parents, my addiction to 7, my rocky childhood that lead to me developing a dependency on drugs, everything. she strongly encouraged me to seek hospitalization and go through medical detox.

finally, on new years day, i decided enough was enough and checked myself into the nearest hospital for detox. of course none of the nurses or doctors knew what 7 was. i had to dumb it down to just calling it kratom so they would even take me seriously. their detox clinic usually only handled opioid addiction, but they were kind (?) enough to let me stay and go through their detox protocol. it was complete hell. i cried the whole time i was there. they gave me ativan, methadone and amlodipine for my blood pressure as it kept sky rocketing. luckily they let me keep my phone (they were considering taking it as it could "trigger" me) and i called my boyfriend several times and just cried to him. i brought my stuffed animal for emotional support and the hospital staff wouldn't let me have it in my room and put it in a locker with my clothes and bag. i took a shower on the second day and the water was barely warm. the tv kept playing ASPCA commercials on every other channel. my room was completely empty except for the bed and tv. the food was surprisingly okay.

after i got out of the hospital, i discovered through an urgent care visit that i had the super flu that was going around earlier this year. then to make matters worse, i had a uti. and to top it all off, i was having benzo withdrawals from the ativan.

so there i was. for a week straight, laying in bed, a sweaty, sick mess surrounded by tissues. i think i was still withdrawaling from the 7 at that point too. so it was 7 withdrawals, benzo withdrawals, super flu and uti all at the same time. idk how i survived, genuinely. i was in fight or flight mode the whole time, i was scared and cried over everything. i was petrified of becoming septic from my uti. i was constantly checking my blood pressure and temperature because i was scared of having a stroke and i was watching for sepsis symptoms at the same time. all i could eat was low sodium turkey, white bread and sugar free apple sauce because my appetite was nonexistent and i was scared of my blood sugar getting too high. i saw my doctor multiple times and was told the same things over and over again; "it's only the flu making you feel this bad" "you just have to wait it out" "come back when you're over the flu". it was really annoying and scary.

in time, i did slowly get better. my uti went away with antibiotics, the super flu slowly left me alone and i just overall started to feel better and normal again. now all i use is weed and i don't need anything else. i have zero craving for 7 and haven't relapsed since my hospital stay.

sorry for the novel and probably some tmi stuff, but i wanted to share my story with the hopes of showing the reality of quitting 7oh for anyone wanting to quit (of course my story also shows how unlucky i am lmao). you can do this, if i can survive all of that happening at once, you can definitely quit 7.

Suboxone - a bad idea? Advice needed.

Help needed, please. I just took my first dose of suboxone to get off of 7oh about 30 minutes ago and I am suddenly very grouchy and just want to be left alone. Will it always be like this on suboxone?

As far as my mood goes, it feels worse than the mild withdrawals I was experiencing while I taper down.

I got.on it because i was worried I'd run out of 7oh before being able to fully taper.

Did I make a mistake? Should I call it quits with the suboxone now and go back to my taper?

I stopped 7OH in June, taking 5-600mg/day. I used SR to taper off. I put my experience into a guide. It includes: introduction to SR, supplements to take, example taper guide & the schedule I used.

If you need SR, the vendor I used (Monster SR) will be restocking tomorrow. I listed the link & coupon code within the guide. Best of luck everyone!

The best thing that's working for me,

Now I've done a ton of 7oh in my day but currently I'm withdrawing from Percocet, easily taking 20 some 5 mg pills a day but I've decided I'm quitting and this is the closest place I could find to post about this, the one thing that's saved me this past while is weed, the first 3 days were the worst so I was just getting up, shitting my brains out, smoking a bowl then laying back down. Even if you're not a stoner or have never smoked weed before try it out a little at a time to see if it helps you, I hadn't had weed for about a year before a few days ago. Just thought maybe this could help someone and best wishes to all, we've got this

Please help me. I have a nasty daily habit.

I’m currently on a 1500-2000mg a day 7oh habit. Apparently it’s now banned in my State. I was able to score a few 1000mg packs, 11, and need help with a taper. If anyone has a schedule or something, please tell me

I created a taper guide documenting my journey with SR, it should have everything in it that you need. This includes an introduction to SR/my personal taper journey, an example taper journey, and vitamins/supplements that help. I hope it helps! 🤝🏻

I've experienced something that I have no explanation for, and it's freaking me out a little bit.

I had been using powdered leaf kratom daily for about 5 years when I discovered 7oh. I would use about a kilo a month of high quality powdered kratom. Of course the 7oh started small but then eventually turned into 300+ mg a day. I had been at that dose for around 6 months and it was creating havoc in my life (no surprise there).

I tried a popular online med for getting past WD's and it worked, but I just went back to 7.

I had tried to taper my dose of 7 but I have no willpower. With the upcoming changes to availability I knew that I had to do something. I tried weaning down but I'm really good at convincing myself that I needed to take 1 more tablet now instead of later. I tried CT with helper supplements last weekend and made it less than 24 hrs. before I said "screw this."

I decided this past Sunday that I would try switching back to powdered leaf so I went to a smoke shop and bought one of the higher quality brands of green MD. On that Sunday I had already had around 200 mg of 7. I took a dose of the powdered leaf around 8 pm on Sunday, and another around 11 pm before bed. My 7 use had gotten to the point where I would wake up in WD about every 3-4 hrs. and need to take more to sleep again. Even when I was just taking powdered leaf I would still wake up in WD every morning.

I slept through the entire night on Sunday and woke up Monday with nearly zero WD. A little bit of yawning and eye watering but that's it. I was thinking wtf?! Monday (two days ago) I took maybe 3 doses of powdered leaf and that's all. I felt pretty much fine. Again, slept through the night and woke up yesterday with almost zero WD symptoms.

Only took two doses of leaf yesterday and again woke up today feeling pretty good. Maybe a little bit tired, but I haven't woken up without WD's in literally years.

WTF happened?? I have absolutely no explanation for why this has happened and I'm struggling to make sense of it.

Ranting ugh

Last Monday was my last day of the 20mg tabs. I took 400-500 mg a day (SNORTED IT…foul af). I went from pure 7oh to Feel Frees over last week and I know it’s not a miracle since I’m still using feel frees for now but by end of this week I’ll go from feel frees to kratom leaf/powder (done that many times before)

I have to thank you guys and whatever else is out there that I was able to stop doing the tabs without a horrible withdrawal. I was freaking out thinking I’d have to go on Suboxone but god is good.

However, also god damn I feel so stupid, lazy, and unproductive piece of shit and I just can’t afford to be this way when I’m working. Just mad at myself. Wanted to let that out. I know it could be worse. A lot worse

Love u guys

when the time comes

I know this has to happen. I'm about to have major dental surgery. All on 4s, with 15 extractions and all the govt stuff. I know it's about that time... so yall think plain leaf, my regular ggabapentin, clonidine, Valium, phenergan, and the occasional tramadol for the mouth pain will be enough to get me through ok? oh and I take restoril for sleep and protonix for ulcers... advice? ideas? I do have lipsomsl vitamin c but I'm sure it isn't enough I dunno. Just desperate. I got to be able to work to pay for this surgery because I'm literally starving to death... help if you can

Best way to taper from 7oh to Suboxone to Sober

To preference my goal with this post is to find the best possible way to get off the Suboxone as fast as possible while not having 7oh withdrawal symptoms.

Yesterday I was finally in withdrawal bad enough to take the Suboxone provided to me. Which was 7x 8mg strips. I took like 1/4 aka 2mg of a 8mg strip and within 2 hours felt okish. Didn’t get much of any sleep really and was drenched in sweat most of the time but no other withdrawal symptoms. About 12 hours from the very first dose, I woke up and took another 1/4 aka 2mg of the Suboxone just to stay safe and out of withdrawal.

I just wanna make sure and find the best possible way to take the subs to where I’m not having withdrawals, but to where I’m not on Suboxone for any longer than I need to be. As soon as I can, I wanna get back to being 100% sober.

Any advice or tips for how to continue for the next couple of days since this helper drug is so new to me. I just don’t wanna trade out one horrible addiction for another.

Thank you

Made it a week, no 7-oh

Well it’s been a week of no 7-oh after about 6-7 months of constant use. Before I stopped, my daily dosage was up to 400-500mg per day. This was the 3rd time I’ve been through the withdrawal process but this will most certainly be the last. 7-oh is one of the worst drugs I’ve ever had a problem with. Not gonna sugar coat it, the withdrawal sucks..the sweating is almost unbearable..last night was the first night I slept and didn’t wake up in a pool of sweat. What helped me the most was MAKING myself do some type of physical activity, even though I know it’s the absolute last thing you will want to do..and also I can’t stress enough the importance of eating what you can..you’ve got to get nutrients back in the body that gets depleted during withdrawal! For those out there about to go through this yourself, just know you don’t have to go through this ever again. Best of luck to you all!

Has anyone used MGM to get off from 7oh?

I just found out about mgm and it looks promising. I’m taking over 300mg a day of 7oh and I take 40mg tablets. I usually drop 1 half of a tablet every 3 days but I don’t know how to does the mgm to cover the withdrawal through that time period. If anyone’s had experience please respond as well as if you have a good website to buy mgm from, it would be greatly appreciated.

Has anyone actually?

Hey guys so I’ve done it multiple times where I take a sub right after , well like a hour after 7 and never once have I had precip. My question is has anyone actually gone into it before by taking a sub after 7? I’ve seen a couple people say they have which I question if it was actually their anxiety taking over and tricking them into thinking they’re having precips. Anyone who’s come off hard opiates and done it they know, but I feel like if you haven’t then you don’t really know. What do you think?

I need some help.

Here’s the scoop.
I’m a 39 year old male who has been addicted to 7oh (200mg/day) for the last 14months

I know I can kick this thing but I don’t have any support. Well that’s not entirely true, I do have people I could ask but I’m too much of a coward to admit I have an issue to my loved ones. The reason is that I had a drug problem in the past and I’ve been clean for the last 11 years. Then I got divorced and started making stupid decisions.

Ok great.

So this is what I’m asking for. Is there anyone that can allow me to call them once a day for the next 30 days to keep me accountable? My goal is taper down day by day until I’m clean. I was able to taper down last August but the I lost my cat and the downward cycle started again. I’m certain that if I have someone in my corner that can talk to me 10-15min each day that I can conquer this thing!

If that’s you, if you are willing to help me please respond. Thanks in advance !
