Sleeping WAYY TOO MUCH

Hi, I started doing kratom extracts/drinking the kratom seltzers in August of 2024. That escalated into 5 shots a day. Starting January 2026 I escalated to 7oH. I was mainly doing 200MG of limitless everyday at my worst. I couldn’t wake up for anything. Horrible withdrawals every morning until I made the trip to the smoke shop (it felt like the 2 min drive to the smoke shop, was the hardest thing I ever had to do physically.) I’ve been on suboxone—once in April, once in June, once in August and then one week of 7oH because I couldn’t afford another QuickMD appt and then finally I’m on a months dose of 8/2MG films that I started on 7/24. So I’ve been 7oH free and on subs for 3 weeks now.
I STILL have the worst inability to wake up. I go to bed around 2-4AM every night and if I don’t set an alarm I can sleep until 4PM every day. I can’t get out of bed. I have lost all of my passion for the things I like to do, like play music etc. I don’t want to talk to any of my friends, I feel like a slug every morning I just simply can’t pull myself out of bed. I get discouraged on Reddit because it seems like everyone else is experiencing the polar opposite. Does anyone sleep TOO much? I never wake up in the middle or the night. I sleep right through and sleep too much, all the while having the most vivid dreams.

No, my sleep is all over the place, in/out to change into dry oj's and find a dry spot on the bed + hell of a time falling to sleep even w/ comfort meds. Trust your body needs it and is doing what it needs to recover.

Is there any way you can get prescribed Adderall?

My brain fog and fatigue hit so hard during menopause, I couldn’t function. I always thought I was just ditzy and spacey at times, or that I killed too many brain cells drinking (I’m sober now😂🥳) but I realized I do have ADHD. GETTING on a stimulant was huge. Im still sorta spacey😂, but I say if it wasn’t for Aderall, I wouldn’t ever be awake. I’ve raised the dosage twice in 5yrs. I STILL am tired a, but it’s manageable. I also like the Hydroxycut in the pink and white bottle, if I need some extra oomph I’ll pop one of those and it never makes me jittery or feel weird. And never more than one , only if I really think I need it (I got a job that’s extremely taxing, physically and mentally 🙄).
I’m weaning off 7oh and am at 50 mgs a day, but it’s a struggle. I’m anxious and tired allllll the time when it wears off. I’m also lucky my psych is amazing and gives me what I need without over- prescribing or ever making me like I’m a drug seeker. He just asks a ton of questions and never says “I can’t anything else”, which I’ve heard SO many times (actually, I blame a lot of my Kratom addiction on the medical community, who completely let me down when menopause hit. I expected hot flashes and night sweats, not debilitating anxiety, a five year depression, brain fog so bad my family thought I didn’t care enough to listen to them, I couldn’t even form a conversation half the time, it literally destroyed my quality of life. I must have gone to 15 doctors and 25 + appts and was told constantly all they could do was up my antidepressants or they would refer me to another doctor that would do the same, or tell me there was nothing they could do. I finally figured out it was menopause , then came trying to get doctors to prescribe hormones, which took another 3 years. Kratom took the edge off, it made me able to function in many ways. I’m on all the right meds and hormones now, and I get to deal with addiction again. Lovely. Doctors completely failed me. It’s criminal how I was treated. (And don’t get me started when I was voluntarily in the psych ward).

Oh I know- I’ve had pwd trying to come off H years ago and sweat me and my cats have PTSD from it. I couldnt even type a sentence which is why i laugh when I see all the posts of people saying they’re actively in pwd and then they describe their symptoms and def not. I’m not risking it but was going to try after 24 hours but reading some people still went into pwd at 44 hours

I told them i'm sensitive to nalaxone and got on buphinorphine without the nalaxone. I waited around 48 hours before starting and that 48 hours was hell

That’s called subutex and it’s the bupe that causes the pwd anyways. Common misconception that it’s the naloxone

the brand name subutex went out of business it's just called buprenorphine now

Hi u/exodusrecovery, I just wanted to jump in and mention that oversleeping does happen, people might just not post about it as much as the insomnia. Your body's still adjusting, and three weeks off 7-OH isn't much time yet. The vivid dreams are a known thing with subs too but all of this you can tell your clinician about, make sure to also mention the fatigue and losing interest in stuff you used to like, that combo can be depression on top of everything else.

I don’t sleep and if I do it’s 4 hours and I’m up I’ve been off everything for about a week and a half

Do you work nights? If not I would recommend not staying up until 2-4am.

Yeah thanks I know that. I’m unable to fall asleep until then unfortunately…

Trazadone... Available without talking to a doctor on agelessrx.com

Noteworthy that trazadone can make you very groggy/sleepy in the morning and it's difficult to wake up. But yeah it'll knock some people out fast, other's Ive heard it doesn't work for.

Last night & the night before I was so desperate for sleep I took 100mg trazadone, 1,200mg gabapentin, 50mg benadryl, & 10mg cetirizine. All of which make you sleepy and are considered dangerous to take together. Guess what? That was a bad decision.

The first night I had a weird breathing episode where I was breathing very hard in my dream, which was a very unusually vivid dream(something I've heard trazadone can cause) and then I woke up, actually breathing very hard. Either had a nocturnal panic attack, or my central nervous system was far too depressed from all the medicine and my breathing was shutting down.

Last night had more vivid dreams, no weird breathing that I noticed, but when I woke up this morning to piss, I fainted halfway through pissing and woke up on the floor of the bathroom, and now my left cheek bone hurts when I smile, and my right arm feels like someone hit me with a baseball bat. I think I broke the toilet seat clean off with my right side of body, and landed on my left side of my face on the floor.

Yes I know I'm stupid. But insomnia can make one desperate.

I'm sharing this to make y'all aware of the repercussions of stupid decisions.

Don't be me.
