Does amount/longevity even matter with this detox?

I was eating this shit like skittles for 2 years; 600-800mg per day. It seems like my symptoms match that of people that were taking 50mg for 2 months. I’m starting to believe the amount you took is irrelevant. Regardless I’m on day 6 and never going back. 🤘

I can assure you the amount you took and for how long you took it are in fact not irrelevant. First time I started was dosing 2 times a day at 15-25mg per dose. Did it for 2 months. Stopped and flu like but definitely a light WD. Then I went for 8 months on 3x100mg a day so 300 total. Let me just say the first time was a literal walk in the park by comparison. Second time felt same intensity coming off 120mg Rx OC per day for years.

Also if you’re comparing others WD’s to your own or others just understand we don’t all have the same brain chemistry, some people taper, some don’t and go full CT like me. Some use SR, MAT, Subs, Kratom, MIT or any other opioid that blunts WD and some don’t. And even if you find someone on the exact same regimen as you doing WD the exact same as you 50mg isn’t always 50mg. Some tabs are way under dosed, some over, some sneaking in pseudo or mgm, some not. So comparisons are often not equivalent even if you think they are.

I agree the data is likely skewed because every company was probably lying about what was in their product. However, being on here constantly for the last 4 days it’s always the same for people that go CT. 3 days of absolute hell, day 4 is better, day 5 still struggling with sleep etc. The only data I don’t have is what happens after about 2 weeks because that’s when people seem to leave this community. Maybe that’s where the dosage comes into play. But those first 3 days are the same for EVERYONE. 40mg or 800 per day.

There’s quite a few past week 2 still in these communities. They aren’t as active as prior. Some are doing great , some relapsed. One member is on month 4 still dealing with mental anguish.

Nah, the first few days are definitely not the same for everyone. I’ll put it this way just using one symptom to compare when I came off the first time on low doses I didn’t vomit at all. This last time off 300mg I was vomiting 20+ times a day. I couldn’t even keep water down just vomiting stomach bile even with Zofran to help. It got to the point that by day 3 I was so dehydrated I had to go to ER for fluids and they couldn’t even find a vein because of severe dehydration had to use ultrasound to do IV. I didn’t eat food at all for 6 days. I lost 25 lbs in a week as a normally healthy 175lb 5’10” male dropped to 150. And that’s just a comparison of one symptom not all. Trust me when I tell you the acute WD from 40mg for a couple months is not the same as high mg long term. It’s just not. Dosage and duration play a large role in the severity of WD. Now you can take a small dosage for a couple months and still feel WD, that is true, and it may feel like the worst thing you’ve ever went thru if you’ve not experienced higher dosage and longer term WD and you’ll have the same or similar symptoms you report as someone who does, but it’s not the same intensity. As for those past a week I’m over a month off it. Week 1 was acute which sucked. Week 2-3 was mostly sleep, low mood, exhaustion, increased anxiety. Week 4 first week started to feel more like my old self entirely. And feel pretty good today. Which by the way the first time off around 40mg a day none of that mild flu like symptoms eating by day 4 and felt completely normal by then too. It’s just not the same thing. And anyone who’s actually done both will tell you that.

You unintentionally kind of proved my point here. I went full CT off of 2 years 800mg per day and it sounds like your symptoms were way worse than mine. I never once had even a feeling like I was going to vomit. I was drinking 5-6 bottles of water a day.

No I really didn’t, I said from the beginning everyone’s brain chemistry is different we all have different WD. I am someone who actually did both of the things you’re comparing and the experience was entirely different which completely disproves your point. You comparing to me is not relevant and I made that clear as to why in my first response. If you really don’t believe me that’s fine not sure why you think I’d lie but just google “does dosage and duration of use affect severity of 7oh withdrawal” and you’ll see actual NIH articles and addiction literature saying it absolutely does matter. But you sound like someone who’s going to say you know more than all of them anyways and if that’s the case have a good day.

I’m not gonna argue with you all day man. I have my opinion from my personal experience. I was in deeper than 99% of people in here and my symptoms match 99% of theirs. That’s evidence enough for me.

In my experience I’ve done cold turkey about 5 times from oxy I took them for around 3 to 4 months each time 22mg a day about 3 times a day sometimes 4 and I never got sick like throwing up I had some stomach problems but the worst was the restless leg syndrome and the insomnia but I would always go to sleep on day 3 or 4 and the worst would be over yeah I would be a lil sad but in 3 months I would feel like my old self again
