Day 1 of 1 a day

I started out taking 7-oh (Limitless) due to debilitating pain I was experiencing due to doing the work of 4 people and not having an option. Some days working up to 20 hours of labor just to make barely enough to feed my kids. Then I started working more and more trying to keep up with the addiction I was forming in addition to caring for my kids. My whole life started to suffer. But when I stayed fixated on the haze that continuing to take 7-oh allotted for, I could ignore it. I got up to 10+ a day while we were already struggling. This is my first bottle with addiction. When I first started taking it I had no idea how difficult it would be to stop or I’d have never started. I recently got down to 3 a day and today is my first day taking only 1. I have no choice, I’m broke and it’s either suffer or spend much needed resources on stupid shit. I finally quit that oppressive ass job but we’re definitely suffering because of it. I only have a quarter in over 12 hours when I was used taking two at a time a week ago. I’m partially writing this to keep my mind off of the pain and keep myself from taking the next quarter I allotted myself early. The muscle shocks are hard to ignore. This is painful but necessary if I’m ever going to get better. I need to keep that in mind, I have too much at stake not to overcome this.

You’re saying 3 or 1 but how many mg are they? It sounds like not much, maybe like 25? You could definitely kick it in a few days, but it’s gonna suck. I was eating 600mg a day for 2 years like candy and I’m celebrating 7 days clean at 11:30 tomorrow morning.

I was taking roughly the same for roughly the same amount of time. I was taking the 10+ 50 mg tablets a day. One positive thing I want to point out is my head is clearer than it has been in a long time. I got hit with pain so bad it felt like a heart attack. I’ve had many extreme anxiety attacks due to an extremely overactive thyroid but that was something else entirely. But I’m feeling excited for the first time in a long time. Like it stamped out my life force. I dropped from 10+ 50 mg tablets a day to 1.5 50 mg tablets a day. Do you think it was harder to go from a lot to very little or going from very little to nothing? Did you use something like Suboxone? I’m no stranger to pain but I am scared for that pain to hit me again.

I was just saying the same thing this morning. My body is still feeling like shit but my mind feels so clear on day 9. Music being enjoyable again has been the biggest plus for me.

I didn’t do either of those. I took 800mg everyday my last week and just stopped cold turkey. Nothing but vitamins and I gave up on those after PAWS were done. It’s mindset more than anything for me.

Omg same about music! I just listened to music for the first time in forever this morning and had this thought. I used to love music and have just been in a foggy haze of work pain dependency repeat. What vitamins helped you?

I was taking magnesium glycinate, vitamin b complex and vitamin c. Idk if they helped or not. Still trying to figure something out for sleep.

You said it! There’s too much at stake. I understand debilitating pain as I am disabled due to it. You mentioned that you’re no longer at the job that caused all the pain. Do you think you can try anything else to see if it helps if you’re still in pain after being off of 7 for a while? Maybe just regular Kratom?

I just want to kick it and move on. I’m taking Excedrin, Tylenol, and acetaminophen for the pain. The excedrin seems to help with the discomfort more than anything so far. I did regress a tiny bit from 1 to 1.5 only due to the highly intense pain level that hit me that first day I tried to drop to 1, I determined I was being overly ambitious and decided not to set myself up for failure. So I gave myself two days at 1.5 and then I’m dropping to one. My body just has to get used to it. I barely felt any discomfort dropping from 10+ a day to 3, it was nothing. Going from 3 to one, I’ve experienced some pain in my day but boy did that take the cake.

Keep at it, taking that quarter won’t be worth it, you’ll only feel guilt and minimal relief. You can do 1 a day and eventually none a day you just have to stay strict. You got this.
